Finally started the single install yesterday, got everything on today to test fit. Just need to connect the oil return flange to the turbo and put the dump tubes on as well as hook up the coolant reservoir and clean the engine bay up. Last week I cut out the path for the downpipe, after I'm done with the single install I'll re locate the dme and bring the car over to my buddy so he can fab up the fender exit. Coming together pretty well.

Couple things I noticed with the jp kit, the wastegate on top is ridiculous to get seated properly and getting to every stud is nearly impossible lol.

Little more work than I had thought involving moving the dme, between that and the little things that keep popping up the hours/days have been flying by. Goal is to be done by Tuesday night which I should be unless something comes up.

Luckily for me there is actually a plug in the firewall to fit all the wiring through and its in the perfect spot. Had to extend about 15 wires, the ones for the vanos solenoids and water pump that come from the front of the motor. After doing that everything was now able to fit through the firewall. I will more than likely mount the dme on the bottom of the glove box and try to use the fan somewhere where it'll keep the dme cool. I cut some more of the pathway for the downpipe just have to sand and use some touch up paint to clean it up.

Ah, yeah I've had that ecu box out to do my servotronic wiring. Not really something you want to do more than once so I can imagine what kind of mess you're into

Finally started it up today and drove it over to the exhaust shop tonight, I was just happy to see it start so I guess my wiring worked lol. Only codes are post cat o2s and boost deactivation from no boost solenoids. I will be at the shop in the morning to record the process and get some more pictures of the fender exit getting fabbed up.

Edit: also have to clean up the cuts I made and plug the firewall holes somehow so the weather doesn't ever get to it.

Did you get the ECU tucked under the glovebox nicely or still working on that? Curious how you did it

Not yet it's still sitting there on the passenger floor, I didn't want to mount it all up just incase there was a problem during start up but after the exhaust gets done tomorrow or Friday I'll definitely clean everything up next week.

Are you concerned about the heat from the pipe causing any issues in the fender area without having some sort of wrap on it?

sweet exhaust setup, @sirdaft1 should take a look at this.

e82 and e90 has metal fender, shouldn't be a problem with just some heat reflective tape on the inside of the fender.

This is really sweet. I think that side turn signal might need some protection

I plan to take the fender back off next week when I get a day off and wrap the downpipe under the fender just incase, it was getting late and I didn't have time. I'll also wrap the area near the valve cover but I may leave the section where the dme used to be exposed because the welds are so nice to look at lol.

Looking at the exhaust again. I am a little concerned about the loss in chassis strength with this setup. You are cutting a lot of the metal reinforcement for the front support rail.
