Chopped up stock cowl looks crap.

Got the same setup with cable guide as you on my 1M.
Y dont they sell the cable guides in the US? You have M3’s so...

That is a good question. I think the cars are just beginning to age and they are slowly increasing pricing and reducing their distribution lines. That is just a hunch, but it was the same for me when I did my M Sport conversion. One of the right side ducts is only available from a euro dealer.

Its been a month, I also purchased a few new things. I bought the parts to do the M3 cowl conversion, which sadly are significantly more expensive than they used to be. The one thing that bugged me about how I saw most people doing it was the out of place looking cable management. So I bought the guide that most people don't install because its only available from euro dealers and cost me $108 bucks alone from schmiedmann.com. I grabbed the rest of the stuff from Tischer/getbmwparts.

This is how it will look when done:

Here are the parts:
64316958817 Filter Housing Lower Left
64316958818 Filter Housing Lower Right
64316958815 Filter Housing Upper Left
64316958816 Filter Housing Upper Right
64319159606 Filter -> Aftermarket: Mann CUK 22 008-4
51718045623 Sealing
07143428231 Plastic Screws x5
Subtotal: $280.15

Optional Cable Guide:
12527838732 Cover for cable guide
12527838733 Cable guide
$108.81

Total: $388.96

That brake booster line though...man, we got to figure something out with that thing hahaha.

I am just using a vibrant heater hose. Seems to work well, its just not routed in an ideal way just yet. I will be redoing a bunch of lines and doing a SS/-AN conversion on as much as possible.

I shipped my TB and CP off to ADE the other day to get an Alphaloc installed, they should be receiving it today. Also having him build me a 3.5" recirc downpipe with vband so I can have the critical parts needed to have my exhaust system built.

The expensive parts for the M3 cowl conversion from Europe somehow got here before those I purchased from a local dealer, I assume they were special order. This is the euro only cable guide, its a fairly small and simple piece but it really cleans up the conversion IMO.

Also bought some M3 skirts from @786dynamics they arrived quickly:

I had a 3.5" coupler installed, the TB is 3.25" but the cp is 3" so probably just do a 3" coupler if you can make it fit the TB

Well never cared or not if I had the built in dash screen until I saw this. Thanks doublespaces for making me regret not buying a car with one! lol
Avin makes a non-iDrive unit for the E9X platform. I have one with back-up camera for my 335d.

How much space is left for AN couplers in your radiator support when fitting the setrab?

Thinking about fitting a setrab in my 1M and i'm told the width of the radiator support on the 1-series are about 2" narrower.

Would be unnecessary to buy one if it's too wide to get the lines hooked up.

By the looks of @Tony@VargasTurboTech 's picture it barely fits pretty accurate in a 3-series..

I have not installed this yet, and because I'm doing a DCT swap it may be a bit longer before I proceed.

I did get some pieces in the mail to get my car back on the road, at least until I start pulling things out for the swap. This is a 3.5" Alphaloc mated with my CP/TB. Also a 3.5" downpipe with a recirc, can't be too many of those for the N54 in the wild.

The Alphaloc chargepipe and throttlebody have been installed. The fitment is really good and connecting it was exactly as I had imaged it. Now, I just need to make sure it will hold pressure.

Oh, and I think I forgot to mention it here, but I got a double shotgun kit back in November.
20171118_104454.jpg

Also I purchased an M3 strut bar since I'm already doing the cowl. Got this off ebay for $150 total.
20180108_134655.jpg

And lastly, I purchased a DCT swap. Trans, Diff, Shift knob, park lockout, shift selector, and trans harness. Got it all for $1400. I am 8 bolt, so I did buy a used OEM 8 bolt flywheel for $720, that stung, particularly because I also have to machine the extra weight off of it which unfortunately makes it the most expensive part of my swap.

I think i'll have my friend weld a alphaloc to my TB / vrsf 335d CP aswell. Looks really good.

I got myself a double barrel kit, motiv twin disc and MMP1K (ships this week) for my 1M on black friday. Dustys alu outlets and 900 cooler incoming too.:grinning:
Was getting his oilcooler aswell but the bracket does not fit 1-series so i'm going to get a Setrab, maybe a 60 or 65 row instead of the 72row.

Waiting for Motiv FlexFuel as the last piece of the puzzle.
