In the Honda world (I know I know) a cast log manifold is usually frowned upon as it can keep too much heat in the head and cylinders leading to melting pistons, etc. Would that not be an issue with the N5X as well?

This is 100% accurate. Twin scroll bottom mount cast manifolds will be the new thing IMO. The bridge between twins and typical single kits, but with performance for the masses, rather than people aiming for 1k and spool at 6k rpm.

Do you really think bottom mount setups will become the go-to? I question that because everyone that's looking for a cheap single turbo kit to replace worn stockers always uses the "easier to access" to replace the single top mount. Kinda surprised there hasn't been a cast top mount option yet. It would be impossible to make it twin scroll I'm sure.

One other thing - why has the term "outlets" been abandoned in favor of charge pipe, when there is already a charge pipe on the cold side?

I will also state it for the record as I know people will ask. While we will manufacture both. Twins are still clearly superior in my opinion. We saw a place in market share, and wanted to capitalize on it. I will test the GT3584RS single kit on the shop test mule, get our results, pull it off, and put twins back on the car. Twins are superior for many reasons, but singles are capable, and people want them, so we are building them.

EXTREMELY excited to see results of these new products! Good work VTT for moving forwards

Very interested to seeing "OEMish" results from these kits!

PWG kits may be sooner. Those are the easiet of all of them. Will bolt on like a stock turbo, but with native Garrett flow. We made the timeframes purposely long hoping to beat them if possible
Nice! Count me in then eseries dct! I'll wait I like it more than other options available for eseries dct cars.

Keen on the revised twins or single twin scroll.
Sorry to ask but what is IWG, EWG and PWG...?
Also will these and all he peripherals fit a RHD?
Thanks again

Internal Wastegate - like stock turbos on N54
Electronic wastegate - F series N55 I think
Pneumatic wastegate - I guess all E series are pneumatic

EWG is also external wastegate but I guess in this context its electronic vs. pneumatic.

You sure? I was thinking some E chassis were EWG as well. I could be wrong, perhaps thats just a split over the N55 in general.

Yes, you are right. A short runner, log manifold will always have higher EGTs. Although in some people's case it may be worth it for packaging advantages.

I love this post. When i was considering the top mount, I kept looking at the smaller 5862 and people would act like I’m crazy. I want low end torque also. I would prefer full boost before 4500rpms. Whats the fun in that unless you are running 1/2 mile competitions. I just want to daily drive my car and have fun. I can’t wait to see this kit come out.

Vargas.... have you had any issues with O2 sensors? This is the common thing I see with bottom mounts is that they “eat O2 sensors”. Have you seen this and what was your answer. Thanks guys!

My sentiments exactly. Responsiveness down low is very important to me and i've yet to see anyone but you mention it in regards to ST setup

If you want low end response you are barking up the wrong tree going single. Stick with a set of GC Lites, and make 500WTQ at 2750RPM.

As for the O2’s we believe we have a way to keep them alive.

I must say I didn't expect much more to be done to the GCs anytime soon.. if I had to but new turbos these would be without question what I would buy!
