I'll be modifying the fender liners with chemical plastic welding to take advantage of this. And as you move the cooler forward there's less space available to get it proper airflow. Going to 265 tires up front means I need to find 2cm of extra space...not terribly difficult, but not a cakewalk either.

Wow. So this is where this car has been hiding. How did that LH door work out for you ? :)

So, after 5000mi of driving the car. And no telling how many WOT logging runs tuning the thing, including dozens on full e85...I've had to replace the tires hahaha. That's the worst mileage I've ever gotten out of a set of tires on any car ever without purposefully abusing the tires (i.e. burnouts). I admit when I drive it I'm still lighting up the DSC light regularly....so I don't baby it.

Oh, and the rear bumper will be here on Thursday...almost 7 weeks after the order it will arrive. I'll make sure to take some pics for you guys.

And lastly, it needs a bath. The winter rainy season has meant that if I wanted to drive it, I had to deal with getting it dirty. Uggg. Maybe tomorrow I can clean her up a bit and enjoy having some semblance of traction back now with new/good tires.

I like it when parts come in the mail. It’s like Christmas. Except just for me :) Getting ready to go flex ?

So I am taking up a pretty big endeavor...something only one other person has tried so far and that Aus335iGuy is privy to.

I'm going to be switching my GWS (shift assembly) and center console stack over to the M3 components. This means that after successful adaptation we get full M3 DCT capabilities excluding adjustable launch control. But that means we get improved ECS, Stability Control, Drive Logic, and Shift Modes. So far there has been one person in Russia who has claimed to do this.

In order to accomplish this I went to ///MporiumBMW this week and bought an M3 GWS assembly (shifter), wiring harness, M-Power button for non EDC cars, and drive-logic button. From a hardware perspective I still need the center console trim, shift boot and knob (///MporiumBMW is sourcing this for me).

From a software perspective I'll have to change my VO to be an M3 DCT w/Drive-Logic, I'll have to code my CIC, ECS, KOMBI, and Transmission, and I'll have to flash an M3 DCT ZB file to my transmission (I'll probably go with the GTS flash).

The part that is the missing piece is the wiring diagram on how to weave the M3 switches into the 335is body loom.

While I was at ///MporiumBMW I grabbed an M3 cowl assembly and put that on today

And I also called dibs on a full M3 DCT rear sub-frame assembly. Assuming that I can do this GWS switchover and use an M3 flash like this guy from Russia claims...that means I'll be able to use the M3 DCT 3.15 LSD rear differential as well.

Well, time to shore up the in-tank LPFP setup.

Yup, that's a dual bucketless LPFP Walbro setup with dual Holley Hydramats. I shouldn't have any problems with LP fuel for the rest of this build. Putting it all together makes it look more like this:

And I have to modify the hat for the second fuel pump wiring:

Which makes the final product look like:

Need to snap some pics of the new rear bumper, and the M3 cowl setup that have been added. But I want some time for some warm weather so I can clean it up for good pics of that. I'm getting itchy on flex fuel and a few turbo offerings that are still pending release. Right now I'm vacillating between VTT's new offering or ACF's bottom mount EFR setup. Both get me to the same power goals (750ish)...and neither are "flashy". Maybe I need a flashy option to consider??? ACF top mount maybe hahaha.

Motiv/MHD Flex Fuel setup (once available)

Then it'll be DCT upgrade time (spring 2018). At that point I'll pull the DCT and shoot it down to ABR in Houston since they are a SSP certified shop. I'll have them work some magic on the DCT and we will see how it behaves.

.......
Yep, Waiting on MOTIVE flex myself - still pump 93

BQ tuned mine (460+ /550+ VD). And its been to ARB (about 100m southeast of me), i dont think they can improve on what he's got. It rips shifts.

I figured I got the cheapest 335is in the country, so I just did some cursory checks for prices on used 335is.

Autotrader.com - $20,100 (same car as cars.com)
Cars.com - $20,100 (same car as autotrader.com)
Ebay.com - $24,400

Got mine in April (in Hou)- 13IS with 12.8K miles - 30K. Now it's got an Mfactory LSD and most other suspension work short of coils.
