what size fitting is on the end there?

that's huge. must weigh a bit. i'd look at rear of car mount options!

AN 10. BMWs are close to 50/50 and I just added CF hood and trunk. Am ok with giving back the 10-15# in the front given how long the hoses would be to route to the rear.

Would it still be just as effective if it was mounted in the rear?

Yup it would be fine in the back. Alot of japanese import guys mount them in the rear, but I would personally rather have it mounted on the outside and closer for these reasons:

1) outside because the accusump will get hot, it is pressurized and has a pressure release valve incase pressures get too high. The instructions also say to mount outside because the valve can leak oil if pressure gets too high and you probably don't want oil sprayed inside in the event of an emergency.
2) Closer because you want short lines making it easier to purge bubbles and initially fill the loop.

But if you mount it outside make sure it is not exposed to the environments. So it's kind of a balance.

Exactly. It's staying in the engine compartment...

Wish I'd known that earlier this week! I have a friend who might be interested...what do you have and how much?
Canton (edit- actually a Moroso) 3qrt accumulator, canton electronic valve 35-40 psi, summit racing one way valve, like 10 feet of -10 an line and all the an -10 fittings you could ever want. It’s just sitting on my floor now. $250+ shipping will find it a new home.

Wow!

If I tracked my car I'd be all over this but I am having DCT issues and some boosting problems... need to tackle that before oil starvation. :p

Accusump install progressing nicely. Teaser pic of how it is mounted. I went more permanent than the OP. Leveraged my Mason strut bar for rear support. Bolted to PS bracket for the front. Also routed LEDs for power on and valve actuation to the fake vents at the back of my Siebon hood that I can see from the driver's seat. Video link here:

Make sure you shield it from heat, the manual specifies do not put it next to a really hot heat source like the motor. For me whenever I decide to do one I will mount mine to the front crash beam.

That side is the intake side so relatively cooler. I'll do some temp measurements at the track tomorrow.
