Many people across different platforms have been able to add height to their driver's seat by adding spacers under the seat rail and replacing the OEM bolt with a longer grade 8.8 one. I have read all of the potential dangers of this modification and I feel alright with going on with it anyways. On to my dilemma.. I took the bolt out to see about getting a longer one and it quickly became apparent that it was nothing like anything I could source. Upon closer examination, the bolt isn't even perfectly round. I hit up the internet to find the part number and do some research only to find that the bolt has trilobular threads and is apparently a one time use bolt given to the coating on it (or whatever). So with that, my only other option that I can think of would seem to be an adapter that can raise the OEM seat that bolts in with the OEM bolts. No, I won't use a phonebook or a cushion. I get off work at 6 AM and at the coldest point of each day, I'm keeping the seat warmers. Any advice?
