.025mm is tight. Stock bottom end should be closer to .039mm. This is why BMW uses different color bearings and why a set of builders bearings shouldn't be used without machining the crank for a custom fit.
This is the journal that had the bearing fail, this measurement is right before final polish. Based on this I should be good with non oversized coated bearings
What is the status after your rebuild? Piston 5 spun on me, all the rest were dead on. Any failures? I am ready to button it up. My measurements were pretty spot on with yours before my final polish.
