I'm sure a few have popped from this exact mantra... I'd love to learn the tuning end if cars but I know myself that I don't have enough time to do it correctly so I stay in my place.. I have been using a German guy called Fabian that runs PureBoost (www.pureboost.de).
MHD recommended him to me when I asked them about a custom tune.
I have very good experience with him and I have no problem to recommend him to others.

Some tuners will only tune without JB4.

New guys to the platform have it nice. Back it the day without MHD, most of the maps are vin-locked. You pay so much more money and only have a few to choose from.

There are great tuners in there that do great things! Each has their own specialty. In for @WedgePerformance because he's been there for me since I started modding my E90 335i in 2013. Helped me setup my stacked configuration then and now to a MHD flash only. Great guy to deal with, great in communication, and always there if you have any questions.
Who does JB4 stacked tunes? I know Trebila does but he's out right now. I got gc lite's installed and the kinks worked out. It's time to play! And without naming the who's and for whats, whats the average cost on a custom tune?
I have worked with Fabian on a few projects. He really is a great guy and highly recommended by me. If you're in Europe and want a more local tuner due to time zone, Fabian is your man.
I also recommend AJ, Justin, Chris, Jake, and the other Justin (scrubs) LOL. All great guys and what's really cool, we can all tune your car. I see people bounce from tuner to tune which I think it's a bit funny, but it is what it is. Can't make everyone happy all the time. Shop around, ask questions. Pick someone you feel comfortable working with. At the end of the day, we'll tune your car, and we're all still better looking than AJ. hahaha
average going rate seems to be $200-$400 which also falls inline with my own pricing. stacked setups generally costing more from me than the lower pricing.
Twisted does a great job and is very intellectual regarding what is safe and smart to do rather than just pushing the limits.
