I'm upgrading to 35is brakes all around and just received the calipers back from the powder coater. Before I sent them out I attempted to fully disassemble but couldnt get the piston boot off of the rears. One side I basically decimated trying to remove, and the other side I just left alone so the shop could remove it before coating.

When I went to pick them up today the shop informed me that they also couldnt get them off, but that they seemed to hold up just fine to coating. I have the rebuild kit in my hands and there's a replacement boot that fits perfectly and looks exactly the same, but I cannot get this damn boot out. It's like it's glued in place with a ridiculous adhesive. Any thoughts?

I just wanted to follow up to answer my own question, since I solved it almost 2 years ago. The piston boot had an integrated metal ring that was press fit into it's bore. I eventually realized that the boot ring needed to be deformed to be removed. Once I figured that it out it was a total breeze. So anyone ever looking to rebuild rear 35is calipers, there's the answer!
