The censorship on here is starting to get a little excessive. Allowing companies to ban people from their threads, while on the surface seems like an appropriate idea, just allows companies to manipulate the community by creating a one sided debate. How is it a good idea to allow a vendor to post a thread claiming things about their products, and the products of others, that are untrue and then block people that would expose those fallacies?
Then there is the constant moving of posts that show these lies to the off topic area to be lost and unseen by the community. This is a huge disservice to all of the less knowledgeable people in our community that don’t have the education/experience to know when vendors are bullshitting them. By allowing this dissemination of product fallacy, this site is effectively helping vendors ripoff those that give this forum a reason to exist.
Do the right thing.
If people agree with me that the censorship needs to stop, vote yes.
If you don’t and want to keep censorship beyond choosing to ignore member posts that you find annoying, vote no.
