An OP is getting DAW stage 3 mixed up with stage 2.
Very informative post. Appreciate the time you took to point out distinctions.

That said ... the presentation of information is and continues to be, mixed up. It has been that way since this stuff showed up here. Here's more examples, beyond what we've seen in this and other threads:

URL: dynamicautowerx.com/shop?olsPage=products/n54-stage-2-750rs-hybrid-turbochargers-pure-vargas-rb-mmp
Product name: Bmw N54 Stage 2+ (775RS) Hybrid Turbocharger Set

So are the above 750rs like the URL says, or 775RS like the title says? Oh you mentioned "Stage 2", but above it says "Stage 2+"

URL: dynamicautowerx.com/shop?olsPage=products/bmw-td04r-775rs-n54-hybrid-turbos-pure-turbo-mmp-vargas-rb
Product name: BMW N54 Stage 3 (825RS) TD04R Hybrid Turbocharger Set

So are the above 775rs like the URL says, or 825RS like the title says? It's the TD04r btw, just to keep all the information straight. But wait. The first link has 775rs in the title, but the second link says 775rs, but is titled the 825rs ... td04r that is ... šŸ˜¬

Looking forward to see how @Seb335i install, dyno, and use plays out.

Im intrested to see the results as well, so does this mean we should steer away from DAW turbos ?

At least you know VTT is using designs they have signed off on directly. Their logo is clearly in the castings. Seems the chinese turbo gauntlet is still the same, might get crap, might get something nice, might get an infection.

All these years and people claim to have lightning in a bottle, I'm pretty tired of hearing it to be honest. There is a reason I went straight to a 6266.

It is almost like all the Chinese crap is out of the same factory!

All the inconsistencies and red flags all over the place...if feel comfortable with them give them your money. I sure would not.

So URL's in DAWs website look to be outdated.
yes mine are the stage 2 6x6 wheel 750rs (pre-revised)

The new revised (775rs) stage 2+ has a GTX style wheel now

I've pulled the trigger as well and ordered 17T chinesiums via Ispeedytech.
Last week they arrived and tomorrow I will return home from 2 weeks work abroad.
I'm excited to unbox the early christmas present.
Installation will take some time due to the fact I slowly purchasing extra parts for installation.
OEM location inlets, alu outlets etc..
When the time has come I will update or create a new threat of my built.

Can we keep this thread limited to discussion about Ebay and/or Aliexpress(ispeedytech) turbo's please. DAW has it's own topic already.
OP has DAW all over in his first post, then several people mentioned DAW, the aliexpress turbos have there own thread as well btw, DAW turbos are sold on ebay as well..

Agree with both of you. I originally summarized several China-based turbo threads here on spoolstreet, and specifically gave comparative to the recent DAW thread relative to the turbos being installed on this thread. Any discussion relative to that has been kept in this thread, since as @BoostedE90 says, is context to this thread.

As for the @RuskiRacer related posts about his turbos/return/et al ... I've moved all those posts to the thread he already has going on DAW turbos.

Anybody with these getting rattle?

Seems like these plus a VTT or RB wastegate fix might be the cheap ticket.

This is how policies and rules get formed. When something doesn't seem right, I try and wait and see what it is first before taking any action. There have been a few wrong turns here but I'm trying to locate the first one to get at the root of this problem.

It looks like I am flying in to Detroit on the 28th for work.

I am happy to visit the shop assuming I can make the time. I can take pictures, meet with the owner, etc. Perhaps put some of this uncertainly to bed that it is a real shop at least and they really have VRSF balancers in house, wheels, machining, etc.

If Shawn wants to set it up let me know @julch @Slow335is

What is their address so i can see if this is even feasible? is this it:

I think he just assembles them in his townhome and then has all the work done locally by other shops just my guess.
