The winner is 100% decided by the raffle system on this board. The other things are merely checked while validating their eligibility. If that person truly doesn't have Facebook, then we exempt them. One of the benefits for a Vendor doing this promotion is to build their Facebook page likes, so bypassing this for some reason would be cheating the vendor in a way. So we work largely on the honor system for that requirement, but I'm also fairly in touch with who does and does not have Facebook.

We have MANY people who do the Facebook elements of this contest, but don't actually enter themselves here, which means they have 0% chance of ever winning because this isn't drawn by hand, its done automatically by the forum.

Well Shite. I will be looking out from now on.

Holy cow. I wish I had that...

I did not join the site to get credits. It just happened because I did so many things and posted to help people. I saw that I got credits, but it did not really drive me to do more or less. I just post stuff if and when I find things out. Maybe one day it will pay off on a raffle or something. In any case, I ordered a brace from Clark already, figured it is good to support vendors who do it out of love for the car.

I just looked at the product offerering on the website, their chart doesn't show xi, but I know from other companies that xi is the large diff. I would also like to add that this company is going to be the cheapest diff brace on the market, by about $89, and I will be ordering one if I don't win... Maybe even before the end of the raffle if I can be refunded if I win at the end of the month.
I actually used an E92 Xi car to design the small 188mm bracket. There just happen to be far too many chassis, trans, differential combinations out there to cover all of them. I included the most common ones and if anyone ever is concerned about fitment I always make sure to offer support before ordering. And for sure if you win the raffle I can refund you the order.

Just for clarification, the only AT cars that came with the large differential were the 2006 production year 335i. All 2008 model year and on including the xi came with a small differential. 2007 is the only year that was weird. Also, the 335is DCT is a large pumpkin and all MT cars are large pumpkin.

Right, like the one in my 2009. But yes, it came from a 2006 :)

Also, for anyone who wants a shop tee shirt and orders a bracket you can use the coupon code GIVEME5 and it will take $5 off the total of the order for the combined purchase.

This does fit Xi models, just not E93 or E60 models. If you’re ever concerned about fitment feel free to send me a picture of your differential and I will verify fitment before ordering.

Wait. I have an e93 rwd and just got the brace. Should I return it for a refund?
I am out of town and won't be back to check until tomorrow.

Hey there. If you send me a picture of your differential I can verify for you. The E93 usually has a support brace that blocks the mounting location for the bracket.

I just got home and I will take the kit out to see if it fits soon. I will let you know. If it does not fit, I assume there will be no problem with sending it back?

I can confirm that this will install on an e93 rwd. You have to take rear braces off completely before installing differential brace. See image.

35 lbs ft differential bolt and super tighten subframe bolt - no torque values available.

...

Now if you will excuse me, I will procede to drive the shit out of this car.

I think subframe bolts are like 79lbft or 93lbft or generically tight because they're big bolts.

I did about 60 lbs ft...so I will have to confirm. they do seem to take much more than that...except for the 16mm small ones. Don't want to strip those. The big ones not so much afraid. But if you or anyone else could post a source for official torque values for the bracing subframe bolts, that would be dope. We can post a sticky for the rest of the e93 owners.

I can confirm that there is a notable difference in reaction to throttle input. Very small but it is there. You won't feel any difference when driving normally. Only when mashing pedal will there be a difference.

Went ahead and ordered one! Now I have something to do to my car when it arrives

I think you will see a difference when aggressively taking off. And even corners acceleration. Feels more stable and less vibration/shake.
