For those of you who've upgrade arms, either M or adjustable, did you just go w/ M specs or non-M specs?

Anyone have the specs handy & can save me some googling?

You must use M Specs. If you have aftermarket wheels, then you cannot get aligned at the dealership because all BMW stock wheels have holes on the wheels that fit their proprietary alignment machines. Therefore, you must go to a specialist BMW Shop that are able to align aftermarket wheels to M Specs. Do NOT go to a generic shop, ask me how I learned this...

Do not attempt to align your car at home. It will be nearly impossible. Along with the compensation weights needed on the passenger and driver side, you cannot get it as accurate as a shop with the proper machines.

Good luck.

Thanks man. I'm confident in my indy. They mentioned adding weight ballasts before I had to. They've done quite a few different types of track cars w/ fully adjustable setups & told me they'd set it to whatever specs I wanted. What are your impressions after swapping your fronts? Noticeable? Worth the money & effort?

I actually couldn't tell you about only changing the fronts...because I did all four wheels myself. It took me 1 month and I don't wish this job on anyone. Due to missing tools and special stuff I had to constantly research and order.

But after the job was done and it was aligned correctly, I did not recognize the car when I drove it. It literally performed and felt like a completely different car. A real sports car. Like a go cart.

Cool man. I did the rears already when I did all the diff bushings, I've just been avoiding the front & getting aligned until I swapped new tires. Tires went on today, shopping for arms next...
