Figured while I'm balls deep in the car right now, I'd do a serp belt and pulley maintenance. Also got the bolt capture from VTT to go on. I was gonna pull the stock pulley and clean the rust off it. Can I paint it without affecting any of the vibration or harmonic issues?

Here is another crank pulley option available in Australia. I don't know if anyone has tried one of these on their N54 as yet.

Saw one of these put on a 335i on YouTube. VehicularDIY is the channel I think. These are supposed to be good as they don't break loose when you start making more torque. I'll be doing it to my car when I do upgraded turbos and fuel pumps.

Won't affect anything at all.

I will endeavour to find out more information on these if I can. Pure Performance Motorsport is located in the State of Victoria, Australia which has been in lock down for the past 3 months due to Covid 19. The State is just this week beginning to open up again. I tried calling them yesterday but only got an answering machine. I left a message but haven't received any response so I would guess they are still closed or possibly gone to the wall like a lot of other small businesses. Time will tell.

I have contacted Pure Performance Motorsport about the one piece billet 4140 crank hub. They have sold around 200 of these items with quite a few going into the USA. They have received no negative feedback about any of the ones they have sold. The reason for having no stock is that they require orders of 10-20 so that they can get them manufactured in batches. It is interesting that people in the US haven't made comment about these crank hubs, good or bad. I can only assume they must be secret builds and these items work quite well.
