Only half decent product DAW makes is the stage 2 because Shawn has nothing to do with them stage 4s are a complete disaster. I also don't like the fact that if you want to run higher than 22 psi you'll get your warranty voided
Refreshing to see that some people actually see through the smoke and mirrors.

I can only comment on the stage 2s. Shawn is pretty adamant on not taking them above 21psi, which doesn't make much sense since WGDC is only at like 55% at 21.5 psi.... and he keeps talking about exhaust...constantly.

I have never seen a a turbo company be more adamant over exhaust. I believe it's mostly due to his 3 year warranty so he adds so many stipulations so that he can void it if you don't fall in line with his criteria

Me either. There are plenty of people that make good power on stock exhaust with no issues. I have been at the 550+ level for a couple years on a stock cat-back and 680 on my new setup. I feel like it is a costly upgrade and many people do not have it. Easy way to get out of the warranty. As for the 22 psi that is probably a good conservative number for a stock housing turbo.

Ya so even if the stage 2s are 1500 you still have to get the exhaust he wants and then new oil and coolant lines then inlets and outlets your looking at like 2500 then custom tune , so closer to 3 k. for 600 more you can get a speedtech kit and have better long term realiablity and more power potential

It makes alot of sense to have the best free flowing exhaust as possible. Air in exhaust out. No doubt you can use a lesser flowing exhaust but it's not the best option. It's an obvious reply from DAW using these pea shooter twins to get them breathing. 550+whp at 22psi is plenty for $1600 with a 3 year warranty.

Alot BS excuses trying to make something out of nothing. Of course you need a tune lol. Wtf does that have to do with DAW? If you want to get the most out efficent flowing set up you should be prepared to shell out the money. All the guys here so far have been nothing but happy so far. But as usual there is always someone moaning about nothing.

Sure free flowing may be better, but I doubt at 550 it is much of a restriction if any. If you want a warranty you can't run a lesser flowing exhaust.

Lol I'm not moaning about anything maybe I'm just more in touch about daw than yourself. Exhaust might make 20 more horsepower tops hopefully it flows much Better tho 😂

700 for exhaust for 15 wheel and non voided warranty seems like a no brainier to me

🤭😄Its about heat! EGTs...not ultimate hp? You should always try to use the best most efficient flowing exhaust with turbos. So far very good feed back with the stage 2. Great upgrade for the money giving your N54 600bhp comfortably.

I must have missed actual dyno results from these. I can't remember who is was from e90post but I am still waiting for these to make 640whp "with ease" at moderate boost.

Why you don't think DAW have a turbo option to make 640whp? I bet they do. But at 21psi to make 550whp with these entry level turbos efficiently is good no?

As I said above maybe I missed them, but I have seen ZERO Dyno results. Sure 550 at 21psi would be strong.

Edit: I did see Nick Olsen's failed stage 4 dyno attempt.

WGDC has nothing to do with turbo capacity. It's just what vacuum duty cycle is needed in the solenoids to get to target boost. Adjust the wastegates tighter, WGDC will go down. Adjust them looser, WGDC goes up. Zero difference in turbo capacity. For a while some guys were jacking up the wastegate actuators so they could say "look! 26 psi on 41% WGDC! Tons more in 'er!" The truth was that flapper valve was mostly shut. It's like an accelerator pedal giving you 95% throttle angle with the first 10% pedal input. Doesn't make the car any more powerful.

Note: I'm not saying these guys are manipulating anything based on WGDC, I don't know them/their product. I am saying WGDC doesn't mean nearly as much as most think it does.

I think most will use the stage 2s . I also think 600bhp is the perfect amount of hp to keep your N54 for longevity. What matters is real world performance and that's been shown. Guess its what you want to see here and take away from it.

Believe me bro this is why I got these turbos. Other brands cost 2 times more sometimes AND you STILL HAVE to get all those inlets and outlets and the custom tune and you do need exhaust if you want longevity. My friends pure stage 2 hi flows had only few k miles and they took a shit. I know mmmp's also has issues. Every good turbo has failures. I love these turbos for what they are.
