Any N63/TU guys in here? SpoolStreet is defintely based on the 3er/n54/n55 but wanted to hear from other 50i owners and their experiences with mods and upgrades.

Here's my 2015 550i


Current mods are muffler delete, catless downpipes and Bootmod3 stage 2 91 oct. Next up on my list is to get the N63Intake, WMI and a custom tune for E30. Most likely via twisted tuning.

According to virtual dyno the car is currently putting down just shy of 520whp and 553wtq. My ultimate goal is to get the car around 600/640.

I really wanted to get an X5 with this engine, they can sound nasty with an exhaust. I'll make it a point to promote this motor a bit more in the future.

I've been impressed with the platform. My 2014 550xi has WMI and a custom piggyback tuner with wastegate control. Best 1/4 mile so far is [email protected] mph (using dragy - times at the local dragstrip are typically 0.1 sec slower due to heat soak). This is at 4600 ft elevation - stock the car was around [email protected] I'm running 23psi of boost, which is as high as I want to go on the stock 2.5 bar TMAP sensors. I'm planning for some Pure stage 2 turbos next year, but I may replace the TMAP sensors in the meantime and push the stockers a little higher.

The car has been great (essentially no oil consumption and no issues through 60k miles), though stock it did have quite a variation between the two banks. I've since corrected that (swapping MAF sensors, optimizing tuner for each bank), which noticeably improved overall performance. With xdrive, the car surprises/upsets a lot of muscle cars at the dragstrip...
