That looks great! Yours looks so much more tucked away making it look better than in other pictures I've seen floating around.

So is your whole "bracket" just those two v braces, and that's what the holder is bolted to?

I managed to figure out how to remove the cap. There are two pins inside of the handle, you push them out and the cap comes off. The problem I'm having now is to find someone who can refill this type of extinguisher. I've sent an email to Gloria, hopefully they can tell me where to go or what sort of attachment I can purchase to make it work.

@NoQuarter, did you ever figure this out for the Z4? I suspect you would have kicked a thread if you had. Curious how far you got.

Right... Never got back to it. Still have everything sitting in the cabinet.

I think all that is needed is a simple flat plate as an adapter but my metal fab skills and tools is pretty disappointing.

If I attempt again, I will start with aluminum instead of steel and probably remove the seat to fit it on the bench.

Where can I find that one? is that BMW's own fire extinguisher?

Yes, good luck if you're not in Europe. If you aren't, you need to find one second hand, already filled. Or have it imported empty and then have it filled, but I still have not got it filled yet. Haven't tried much but the people I have contacted don't have the connections to fill it or won't.

Good to know! Sadly I have not managed to get this filled up. Don't know anyone with the official connections.

A fire protection company would be able to refill the extinguisher. The guy who care about my extinguisher in the workshop already filled two for me. Perhaps the US connection are different.

Yeah, they don't use the same fill connector. I think it's just a bike tire, schrader valve or whatever its called. The problem is all the laws and city codes and crap. There isn't an official adapter between whatever they use here to a schrader valve style connector.

I took a look to the ETK and when I choose a 335is US version 72 60 0 418 759 Installing set fire-extinguisher powder is listed as an available part.
Do you ask to your dealer with the part number ?

I think i'm gunna get one of those element 50 second fire extinguishers, they fit almost anywhere and are similar in size to road flare.

I have put mine in the right hand pocket above the battery in the trunk, easy to reach, fits nicely, 3 self tapping screws (be careful, there are power lines behind, use just length enough).

Here is an E46 mount on thingiverse. I might try and remix this and make a mount for the E9x series. I suck at CAD though.
