Yes but it is in China. I looked into this earlier this year. The guys on garage journal have done a couple of group imports. It is a non-trivial exercise, as I understood it.

Awesome. I'm actually in the market for a floor jack and what happens to get bumped up to the top? This thread. Thanks for the suggestions

I've got a jack but I'm just tired of having to drive up on top of two 2x4s to get the jack under the car. Not even a lowered car either.

Arcan XL2T Black Low Profile Steel Service Jack - 2 Ton Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007G83T16/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dBAdCbQKYTE5T

I ended up going with this one. It's really low and really long, and lifts high enough to get the car on jack stands quickly. It's low enough to get under the car without using ramps of any kind.

Downside is that it's pretty heavy.
I regret not getting a low profile jack, being able to use the front jacking point is critical to quickly use jack stands.

The problem is these things are so dang heavy, need an aluminum low profile jack. Anyone tried any of that flavor?

Yeah, this jack is a bit of a pita to move around. It's low enough for me to get under the jacking point on the rear diff, jack the rear onto jack stands, and then I can reach the front center jacking point.

I also have / use the reverselogic pivot top jackstand adapters on my esco jack stands. Nice combo there that fits directly into the plastic jack points built Into the bottom of the car without adapters.

Have you looked at the weight differences between the common low-end AL jacks vs steel? There is a weight difference but it does not seem night and day. I agree lighter is better. The problem is one ideally wants low profile and long, the latter adding to mass it seems.

I ended up buying that Arcan Jack and it's definitely a heavy S.O.B. but if it keeps me from having to drive up on 2x4s to get a jack under the car it'll be worth it. Using it tonight for the first time to throw the snow tires on it.

LoBoost, I'll have to look in to those Jack stand adapters

Only down side is that the pivot top adapters arent quite as tall as the ESCO ones. I used the pivot tops to install my RTD Shifter, exhaust, rear diff, and axles so theres still plenty of room to work under the car when using them.

Just sucks that there is no AL long, low jack. No one has figured out how to have it be strong enough in non-steel? While mine is in the garage, I hate the idea of that sucker being 100 lbs - I'm not 23 years old any more lol

I just had to replace my low profile Harbor freight jack after 7 years. Imagine my surprise when I found that the Pittsburgh low profile jack used to be 2 7/8 and is now 3 1/8. Not that it makes that much of a difference, I have to drive 2x4s to get it to fit under the front bumper and reach the jack point anyways, but still. It's the PRINCIPLE. Can't argue with that jack for 80 bucks tho.
