Now imagine what truckers do for 11hrs of driving....talk, text, watch tv, eat, jenga, etc lol.

Blow jobs from lot lizards and jacking it 4x daily to granny porn while driving I think you should add to the list.

They have a shit load more mass than any car or truck and when they have an accident it causes a lot more issues for everyone.

I'm in a Facebook group with a guy that's put these turbos on in the last two weeks. He's put up a few street racing videos on 20 psi. I'll let you guys know when the turbos crap out if he posts about it and doesn't just keep quiet.

At 25psi now. Aiming for 28 once the weather drys out!
Do you know if their were changes made to the turbos after the beta set and I assume if a beta goes you will be supplied a replacement final at no charge or reduced? I'm asking cause if you have that type of deal and they survive that shows alot since im sure someone would be alot harder without financial risk.

4 pages in and still no Photoshop! I'm dissapointed.

Just ask Doug@frankenturbo for a compressor map. I am sure he can whip one up quick in PS. He's got experience ;)

What is funny is Doug now claims he never made up fake compressor maps and it is all a lie. He publicly states this now. I can only assume he thinks people are too lazy to google and will take him at his word: https://www.audizine.com/forum/show...bo-Statement-on-Our-Published-Compressor-Maps

For those who weren't around, the initial batches of F23 turbos had basically a 100% failure rate within about 10k miles. Sounds very familiar to the N54 'beta' turbos. I would have thought after all this experience making turbos over the years he would have this stuff figured out.

Videos that TheConvert posted before:

How FT balances his turbos, he provided this screen shot:

Was using windshield washer tank for meth injection. Known to cause fires on the n54.

Claimed inlets are usless on stock turbos.

Cranked timing to the moon. Turned off knock detection blaming the stock dmfw for "false" misfires. Blew compression on 2 cylinders, then blamed jb4 for not logging timing.

Busted making fake compressor maps on the audi world.

Posted pictures of cast manifolds with serious casting problems.

Claims his turbos are made in china, then he takes them apart and re balances them, in house,

Then emails leaked from vtt that someone else was doing that for him, then stopped dealing with doug, due to his shady buisness practices.

How anybody can take this guy seriously is a mystery to me.

True but if people don't speak up when they have issues, how is everyone supposed to get a general sense of which products are more problematic

^ Exactly. I am no Franken Turbo nut swinger, yes I have his turbo's, but any turbo can fail, as with anything in this world.

Did you read the post? You claim not to be a FT "nut swinger" (whatever that means) yet have a set of his turbos, and were overtly quick to dismiss a members discontent in his personal experience with Doug and his product. This sort of behaviour is neither unbiased, or helpful in any way.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Every manufacturer has failures. . .

Perhaps true in rare moments but we can say with 100% certainty that usually is the case only about 3+ years down the road (if ever). Literally never is it true in a shorter interval- but what would we know as shipping these setups continually for nearly a decade may not be a large enough sample quite yet.:p

I felt a warm sunsation when I had my turbos built by a professional who has nothing to do with the n54 platform. I highly reputable builder who builds racing engines and turbos. The fact that someone with this kind of knowledge who hand builds something, taking care as if it was there own. I had asked VTT to do them, my questions as to some of there practices were shunned appon, I gave them the benefit of doubt, and truth be hold, they sent back my turbos, refusing them.
