Has anyone installed the Vargas shotgun yet?

I hit 731whp on just single HPFP without PI. Next Friday I will see what 2 HPFP AND PI will do. And that is with straight E85 from the pump so I read 73% on my ethanol gauge
Wow... So did you have the double shotgun kit but only ran with one pump?

I had a hard line designed. It fits the EOS v2 manifold with the fuel rail on bottom and the EOS phenolic spacer. It does not fit the stock manifold with no spacer, so I won't be producing any more. But if someone wanted to get a clothes hanger and spend some time, I can say that its definitely possible.

The hard-line does not hit anything and goes on naturally when the manifold is already tightened down completely.

I'm having a second revision made so it's clean and doesn't have any of the dings or dents from the adjustments I had to make after these photos were taken, then I'll be able to test it on the road.

Here is the final version of the hardline installed. This one won't fit unless you have a phenolic spacer and the EOSv2 manifold. My particular manifold also has the fuel rail on bottom which is not normal. Getting the line to clear this was annoying but I got it as you can see in the photos.

I also designed one for the stock manifold which is being made right now. By the request of a few people, I will produce a few sets for sale for anyone interested.

Nice. What about a hardline for the other pump?

I've actually spent a couple hundred dollars on this project and several trips to places and have talked quite a bit with people including @Tippin on that exact subject. I can get the proper fitting for the pump side, but the rail side I have yet to find a proper off the shelf part which will seal correctly in the rail as well as make an immediate 90* turn. Using one of those fuel adapter ferrules may be necessary, otherwise there will be an extra fitting in the picture as far as I can tell.

The current option I'm considering is to drill out the fitting from the stock pipe and braze it onto a new, 1/4" tube. Each stock pipe could make two hard lines since the other end will use an off the shelf part, unless we can source some of those ballnose seals/inverted flare thingies. The other thing I have not worked out is a brace point, since the tube will be longer and susceptible to vibrations. I'm going to get the car up and running first as I have a DCT swap staring me in the face. Once I've wacked a few moles I'll come back to the lower pump hardline subject.

I'll update this post when I have any news on the matter.

I wouldn't do a hardline for the lower pump, it vibrates too much.

You would have to do some kind of flex joint on this pipe, wouldn't be worth the effort and expense

From understand the steering rack/system is in the way on the XI. I'm hopeful someone would will be able to confirm it. I'm willing to put up the $$ to try it. But it's going to be a while before I put the engine back in.

This is per a vendor. It's been a damn while since I last checked. Can any vendor confirm if this fits or doesn't fit the xi?

@doublespaces are you familiar with the XI subframe? If so, do you think it would fit? Tony mentioned this won't work on a XI because the subframe is different, but he hasn't tested to confirm.

I'm not familiar with the XI stuff, but I couldn't tell ya unless I was looking at it. And its so tight, even then I might not know unless I tried it. In his instructions, he sends one of the AC lines 'down' by the subframe. Personally, I went up over the top of the AC compressor which might make more room, but I don't know if that is what he's talking about. This also depends on how you bend your steering rack side power steering lines.

If someone could get me photos of an XI with the front clip off, that might help.

I don't have a picture. But I found an old email from vtt the linkage from the steering wheel to the rack is physically in the way. On a xi the steering rack sits behind the first part of the subframe. Where on the I the rack is in front.

Anything is possible, but:

I don't know exactly whats going on, but is that the part of the subframe the sway bar connects to looks looks like a problem.
