This is one of many things to do for my 335,so i had some downtime at My machine shop and decided to spend some time in making covers for the cowl that cover & can be used with the BMS cowl filters.Raw & Painted Flat Black.Any questions post up.

I'd be inclined to get them powder coated. How much for the unpainted, raw covers?

They look like they completely sealed the filters... why would you do that?

They look good OP, do you have plans to sell them? I'd imagine some form of bundle with filters would be a good seller.

I personally just cut the part that covers those two cabin intake holes when I modified my cowl and used longer screws to hold the leftover "covers" on top of my BMS filters. It certainly doesnt look as fancy but it does the job of letting heat out of my engine bay while covering the filters from water, and they arent noticeable enough to look much different than an OE setup imo. I figured since I was already taking the time to cut up my cowl to prevent water from hitting my engine bay that I might as well spend another 30 seconds to cover the filters too.

They are clearly open on the bottom...
Sure there is no coverage on bottom but it looks like the plate literally seals the pleated filter...maybe more close up pics would clarify. Is there a space between the pleats and the metal cover so air can move into vent?

If theres interests in this and some opinions I'll gladly make them, but remember it's me making them, not a machine so I can't bang them out that fast :)
These are made out of sheet metal so I would probably have them painted, either professionally or just some can paint.

I'll take a close up picture when I get home later on for you

Hydra Performance & Mad Auto Developments already have that style of design sorted and are $99 shipped - brushed black finish.

Photo attached of my custom cowl covers with mismatching screws.

That design has a major flaw but nice attempt of copy.
