Bimmer geekss has released the Bluetooth OBD and has also released Protool, an android coding and diagnosis utility. No word yet whether it works with MHD.

It’s long overdue. I am beginning to think it’s just not going to happen. Hopefully the price of OBD brackets doesn't get the BMW tax like the injectors.

progress has been quick lately, with flashing and logging all working perfectly on my desktop DME using the custom MHD BT+usb adapter, both in cabled mode and bluetooth mode. BT mode is a bit quicker than the regular KDCAN cables, and BT+USB mode is over 2x quicker.

@Martial@MHD since you said it was working perfectly back in may 2017 any chance of an update or give your loyal customers a hint on what is going on.

Most of us can wait patiently but no one likes being left wondering if it's ever going to happen, any update is better than nothing.

Thats most of us, who cares about flashing, rather do that by cable anyday.
I would too but the cable connections are an absolute joke seriously. I don't know how people rationalize that a cable solution is good when there is a flopping OTG connector in the middle of another connector attached to a floating phone or tablet. Honestly I think that's ridiculous.

Right, I wouldn't flash with it either but wireless logging and gauges is really the only thing I miss about the JB4 after I pulled it off the car. On the fly map switching, gauge sweeps, gauge hijacking and that kind of stuff doesn't mean much to me.

Pretty sure they are going with WiFi, it also provides compatibility with iPhone this way.

In the mean time for those inclined a 90 degree obd2 extension and some cable management (tucking into weather stripping / foot well panel) has been working great for me.

Have had it set up that way for over a year and I never worry about tripping, kicking the plug and damaging it, etc.

It's been almost two years in may since he said it was working on the test bench, bimmergeeks had it done pretty quick.

Seriously couldn't be that difficult for a team of programmers from mhd to do something like this.

I could understand leaving the customers waiting a few months but a few years, better of saying nothing until your ready to release.
