MHD doesn’t owe you anything. If you don’t like the speed they’re working at, spend your money somewhere else. Passive aggressive comments aren’t going to speed them up.
Of course. No one owes me anything. But hey don't release teasers months before you're actually ready to deliver products. I've seen this stuff time and time again. I'm just wanting some sort of release date. Me checking in every few months on a product isn't that big of a deal.

So in the spirit of catching more flies with honey than vinegar:

Hello @Martial@MHD !
I hope all is well and that you’ve been having a wonderful summer. How’s the fam? Did you get a chance to go on holiday?

Also wanted to let you know that I really love using your MHD app for tuning my N54 powered E90. It’s so much better than Cobb. I don’t know what I’d do without your app.

Now I was just wondering if you could give us an update on when MHD WiFi connectivity will be commercially available? I’m really looking forward to removing the OTG cable that’s poking out of my dashboard.

My best regards, and please look me up the next time you’re in Philly.
Jeff

Why does that have to be passive aggressive? I took it as simply an optimistic view since we are getting closer to the holiday shopping season.

Maybe he was, but it's hard to glean time on the internet, so I chose to read it with a positive light. Your comment clearly wasn't passive, but absolutely aggressive.

I need wifi for (inter)network connectivity as wifi is limited to one connection.
Bluetooth is designed for this stuff. It can handle multiple connections at the same time and is more battery friendly. As for speed; I don't care that flashing takes a minute longer and for logging we don't need the speed in the first place. The DME's read/write speed will be the limiting factor anyway. No matter what the transmission protocol.

Wifi is not better for our use case. The only reason we are talking about it is because Apple does not let you use the bluetooth chip for anything else than products you pay their 200% licencing fee for. Not only do they fuck ppl who buy thier products, they are indirectly fucking everyone else too.
Apple can burn to the ground for all i care :)

Yeah, opening up the app to a larger user base really seems stupid.:tearsofjoy:

I really dont know why you would need to worry about the type of connection unless you are using your regular phone for this shit.

If thats the case, come on, its an android, dirt cheap, buy a cheap phone or tablet for use only with mhd. No clue why you would be trying to split the difference and have something you're using for work also be logging your car at the same time. I only break out my tablet to log after a new tank of fuel or if im flashing a new tune or checking up on an issue.

Happily take wifi and never connect my iphone to it.

I can't think of a good reason to be on wifi while logging. If anything, not using Bluetooth is handy so you can connect to mhd via wifi and still stream audio to the car via BT. Bluetooth pairing also tends to be a huge pita

They really thought that add on module through almost as good as the hd audio input module that mounts in your trunk under the floor and puts a spdif next to the included toslink

It's the match up 7bmw amp or the pp86. I made a post but more info on other f30 forums. Same setup tho for m2 logic 7 and f series hifi just diff bracket same connectors. Cool thi g is they are pnp so no need for technik harness and I have ability to output to another amp so I plan on running an idmax 10 on a gladen 600 I have but I am in no rush cause it sounds great everyone that gets in car thinks I added trunk sub. Apparently stock drivers are very good and some upgrades aren't actually upgrade just more sensitive so when properly amped they really come alive.

Apple car play.
Different platform, but I have to turn off car play on my phone to connect to the BM3 wifi agent.
It's a pain in the ass.

Car play uses wifi for higher audio resolution. But that's a moot point cause we dont have mhd for apple anyway.
