Looking to get a set of these soon. Would love to see some people's initial reactions and dyno numbers

Sure as hell dont want these at full boost at 3-35k rpms lol . Tuning 3 cars atm with the MMP 1K. These things remind me of a single turbo so much and now Im having a change of mind from going single lol as i get to keep my carbon fiber inlet setup. MMP did a very good job on the 1K turbos so far that I have seen.

Nice to start hearing some first-hand feedback on these. As you know, there hasn't been much yet posted on the MMP facebook page. Thanks for the feedback.

We may need to chat once I get mine in.

Load by rpm. You can change how much boost you run depending on the RPM you're at. There's tables for it so you'll just have to let you're tuner know.

This is why I like the jb4, I like having control over it anytime I want.

Load by rpm is different. This isn't boost by gear. this is controlling how the boost comes in so you can what boost you run in a certain RPM. For example if I don't want to bend my rods I'll cap the boost at 12-15psi in the low rpms and once it's over 4500 I'll let it run full boost.

Yes, this is exactly what the jb4 does. You choose map 6 and select the boost target for a certain rpm. You can have 20psi at 3k and 30psi at 4 or 5k it's what ever you to decide. It does require some adjusting to duty bias and ff to make it work without overboosting/underboosting but you have full control.

Unless you are trying to explain something different I'm not understanding what you mean. The whole point is to prevent high boost from bending rods which is what map 6 will allow. You can also cap boost per gear with the jb4 to help save your auto transmission. I use it on my xi to prevent my transmission from breaking in second gear with to much power.

Edit: I added a photo of my jb4 settings. Everyone's will be different based on your custom tune, but this gives you an idea of what I mean. These are my 93 settings and I do adjust them on the fly when I need to since I dont drive often I do try and log whenever I do a quick pull.

I run map 6 on a jb4 with custom bef.
I had tweaked my own flashes before.

I suppose ideally it'd be nice to know how much torque bends n54 rods at lower rpms but of course many people might end up having detonation do the damage.
I've set my boost targets at lower rpms a little lower. Probably better for the engine long term anyway.
