It's the only card to own.
Ya I def like it but from what I read online it can be little bit of pain my preferred sapphire def gave hard time with online stuff but honestly I'd rather it be like that. I just love the trip insurance and stuff. The discover it 5 percent and chase freedom cycling their quarters with sapphire and then us bank altitude reserve giving 3 percent on mobile wallet purchases you will never spend a dollar without getting at least 3 percent back especially cause Samsung pay stacks with the altitude only card I need get now is the 6 percent groceries amex blue card.

I think we need a bigger dataset to work with, somebody, quick, donate again so we can figure out what is going on ;)
Honestly, I will likely be donating again soon if the goal isnt hit before my next mechanic's and parts bill lol. Even aside from what the end result will hopefully be, this is a really cool feature to have on the website. I'm hoping you can implement it in a combined way with how you used to partner with vendors for giveaways where we can do easier group buys or get limited-run parts made with it tbh.

To be honest, I need to see the tax implications of all of it. It is set up to 'donate' but I'm not a 501(c)3 and also the IRS probably doesn't give a damn. I'll have to see how much of a pain this is, plus I'd need W9's from everyone and its not possible to take payments like this unless IPN(Instant Payment Notifications) are setup which means the recipient needs to interface the Paypal API with this site and that is kind of a pain in the butt sometimes. Right now, I've taken 1600 dollars of income for Jake, we'll have to figure out a way to pass that responsibility on to him, haven't even talked about it. So there are a few bullets to dodge, ordinary logistics type nonsense but I'd like to do more of this as well.

That's totally understandable, I hope it isn't too much of a hassle for your own sake at the very least. I'm sure anyone who's willing to use it as a way to get sales would be more than willing to pay their own share of taxes on it, but to be honest I didnt even think of how it'd apply to you being the "third party". I have no idea how large donations or other fundraisings are handled by the IRS if you arent the one receiving the money in the end, but hopefully it doesnt hinder what could be a really unique and exciting feature.

I'd need to see the 1099 I get from Paypal at the end of the year to give more input on that. But I'm also responsible for the chargebacks, if any were to occur. So if someone makes a huge, drunken donation and I hand the money off then later a return comes in, I'm holding the buck.

If the vendor has a premium Paypal or business paypal, we can spend an hour or two and setup papal IPNs. Its just time consuming and also prohibitive because it requires some technical skills and time allocation for both parties going back and forth with communication. Generally when things get complicated like that, they are bad ideas overall. KISS.

If the goal is met and @jyamona has the green light to pursue, what delivery date are we expecting? 3 months, 6 months, a year later? Not that I or most people who donated need this right away but I think it'd be good to let everyone know upfront the approximate time to completion. This would apply to all features the community is asking (funding) to develop.

I realize you don't really know for certain how long it will take until you dive into a project being everything is new R&D, just something to think about if more of these requests start getting funded.

I asked this and I think he said a couple weeks but I'd have to double check the wording.

Ok this one is close to hitting goal. Are we done on contributions? Anyone else lurking here that is looking to kick in? Know anyone off the forum that is interested in this capability and would like to contribute to this cause?

I think itd be worth it for you to post a link in at least one or two of the FB groups (especially the N5X Drag group) for the Joel's, Draysen's etc. out there with built motors who are mostly garage guys and dont frequent the forums much. If you aren't in the drag group I can either invite you (or get you an invite from the mods at least) or post it myself if I have your guys' permission to do so.

Awesome, I went ahead and posted it in the N5X Drag group myself then since I think at least a few of them will have significant interest and I couldnt invite you due to not being FB pal's. I can copy + paste the same post(... with a bit of editing since I did slightly diss the majority of the larger FB group users lol) to the other ones if you'd like just for ease, but seeing as you're a mod I think you have more pull with the other groups than I would and I'd definitely like to see this finished!

Be neat if you got some flair or something showing you donated. Just a thought. I also want the rep system back as default. *cough* *cough* ;)

That is a contribution to Jake, so you'd have to ask jake to give you MHD credits. The VIP system will be back soon hopefully and you will get exactly that. And more of course. But don't fear, there won't be any private forums, for god sakes :)

But this does proves a point, if you argue with me enough, my door is open for discussion :tearsofjoy:
