Anyone having issues with length of there new coils. Installed one of my kits but won’t click into spark plug almost seems like it’s to short. Tried starting but no succes and flash was successful. I removed the spark plug from the cylinder head and it clicked rite in but when reinstalled can’t get it to click. First image is PR coil second stock coil.

Ok all clicked in finally but still no spark and car won’t start. I pulled a connector off the PRC and no spark reinstalled a stock coil and spark came rite back. Are these plugs correct just to start eliminating possibilities

Yes cut the rubber boot like a 1/4 inch or so. I’m real pissed about it, just for the fact idk how much of the plug is in the boot, and if it’s going to cause issues.
I actually figured out to install when wouldn’t clip into spark plug I rolled up rubber boot and then adjusted vise grips open to fit rite over plug wire and used it to push on plug top that made life a lot easier for me.

You sure you checked the box for mhd? Mine went right in and clicked no issues, but I've also got the n55 kit. I dont think anyone else has had any issues. We didnt have to cut anything. When it doubt, shove harder lol

That’s all well and good, but I was told the factory messed up and the boots are too long. I thought mine were on but they kept popping off with any movement.

Hmmm I wonder if that’s why they were so hard to clip in.

Your coil-side connectors are all pinned opposite mine (see my post on page 14). Mine are orange/white/brown, looking at the connector facing away with the clip on top. Yours are all brown/white/orange it appears.

Thanks for the help I did figure that out last night. I ordered two kits and compared the connectors one set was connected in opposite order. I couldn’t tell because it was all six not just one connector thought that was factory order. Contacted PRW Saturday night threw email and PM John and them also threw there vendor profile here hope to hear back soon about a replacement connector set. I was going to try and re-pin them but worried about damaging the connector seems really easy to screw up and wouldn’t want a faulty connection latter on my coils.

First set is correct my second image has the incorrect connectors. A is crossed with C

More failures. I wonder if PR is still claiming 0 failures. After seeing the impact of an incorrectly wired harness (blown fuse attached to the DME from BreakMyBillfold), idk why any of you are buying this product. Their quality control needs to get it together. Sad.

Theres no other good options. Mine showed up correctly. BL need modified to work correctly. They're in a rush to get em out. Shit happens. Id rather replace a fuse than cut up a r8 coil. Im happy with my kit.

Mine were fine. Dropped them in today, fired right up. I will spring for the new style boots down the road though. I manhandled the shit out of these and they're in there as good as they can get but I still feel like they could pop loose. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

We just saw this, it looks like there are all sorts of rumors getting spread around. Please Please Please contact us with any issues, do not trust internet rumors or anyone other than the company that designs the product. There was a batch that went out with an OD of 1mm thicker than tolerance and in 2 seconds can be fixed to go on the car. We will even send replacements out that is not an issue. No one should ever cut the plug wires down to be shorter it removes insulation.

Keep in mind there are close to 5,000 coils now on the market on different cars around the world. Do we ever have any quality issues absolutely but they are few and far between. When there is an issue we will take care of every last one of them without hesitation.

Since we developed the ignition kit there were 2 complaints,

One was that it was difficult to depin and heat shrink. We refused to do 3d printed components as it would not be up to our quality standards. But we did listen and designed a mold and connector built to OEM specs to resolve this issue.

The other has been with difficulty installing and removing spark plug wires, they work there is no doubt about that but there was room for improvement. Once again we have listened designed molds and are working quickly to go into production with new spark plug boots to resolve the problems. We hope to have production in hand within the next 30 days.

All we are asking for is to reach out to us and allow us to help if you want to post stuff bad that's fine not trying to hide from anything if we made a mistake we made it. But at least work with us to make sure there is a mistake and let us get your product right. The one thing we care about at the end of it all is making sure you get a product that is absolutely the best it can be in every way.
