I will be going the route of air conditioned intercooler.
I've made a couple threads on this, the problem always seemed to be the location of the core, so maybe this would solve that problem. Heater core can also be bypassed and cold AC will blow right on this separated circuit:

Also there was this guy:

All it will need is a new glycol chiller. A liquid injection valve for freon, this will cool the liquid to 20-30f then feed that through a closed loop w2a intercooler

Personally the 7” vrsf gets way to hot for me. Ill usually see 111-120 at idle on a 80deg day after a couple of pulls. Them 145 during the run, all while spraying meth! Fml

Particularly interested in how the (is it the exchanger or the IC up top?) sits oriented to the intake manifold. A closer picture from over by the intake mount peg might help. Is that the N54 IM on there or did the S55 one fit? I'd also like to see a photo of how the IC outlet is oriented compared to the throttle body. Is it a straight shot, or offset? Obviously it's not going to be a straight pipe between the two but I'm sure you get my gist.

This is on the N54 intake manifold. As you can see it is kind of at an oddball angle, looks very similar to the angle of the M3 setup, tempted to try an aftermarket M3 pipe and just add a BOV to it.

These look interesting, but the websites look a little lacking on technical details, I am not sure that the BMW air conditioning system has enough headroom for you to to try and pump out that much additional heat through the factory condenser. I guess I will start with the regular heat exchanger and see where that gets me.

Nice job! I have been contemplating making a setup similar to yours. It would be great if you could report back and give us some real world data on how much your CO2 setup can drop IAT’s. Did you use meth nozzles or what? Heat soak while sitting at lights and in traffic is very noticeable. I will often see IAT’s as high as 140F while in traffic, I’m sure the strip would be similar or worse!

No I didn't use meth nozzles. I basically want the liquid co2 to go onto the intercooler so it evaporates there. Pulling heat from the intercooler itself.
Ideally I probably want a copper loop with some holes drilled into it. For now I was using some T shaped 1/8 push fit connectors. Feeds in from the right, plugged on the left. The holes point at the intercooler.

Anybody add shrouding to their FMIC? Just a thought because that is a lot less expensive and likely pretty effective.
