Need some clarity as to what's going on with my N54 PS2 6AT. Mid pull the car just cuts out all power ..after checking log noticed cyl. 1 crank timing take a huge nosedive. The only changes I've made recently was disabling e-diff through protools. Car has xhp stage 3 and lsd.
There have been few times recently when making a pull in manual mode and then coming to a stop , it will not downshift automatically. Is this a sign of needing a new trans ? If so, what's required exactly and what's the process if mine is currently flashed with xhp?

Guess helping would be easier with a link to the log...
Did you read error codes?
Your transmission stays in which gear when coming to a full stop? Staying in 2nd is normal.

If you attempt to accelerate is it still actually in 5th or is it reading wrong ? Enable elsd again and see if issue stays. Would seem if was hardware you would get stuck in gear in sport or manual and you wouldn't be able to get to first with paddles or shifter when stuck. More seems like a software loop or plausibility error in code somewhere. Weird things happen and best to eliminate variables or roll back to known working configuration to check hardware.

Yes if I accelerate it's from what ever gear I came to a stop in and then I have to select the gear I want with shifter to get it rolling. When driving normal it always downshifts when coming to a stop. It's only after a hard pull in 3rd and then letting off and shifting into 4th , 5th , 6th and then coming to a stop it will remain in either 4th , 5th 6th

I have had this happen a couple times after a full shift into 4th then backoff the gas upshift to 6th and have it stay in 6th at a complete stop without knowing. I read that this is a form of limp mode and is reset by turning the car off and on again. I could not find any codes as well. I have noticed my 4th gear shift is getting a little soft even with XHP stage 3 and maxed out on speed and torque reduction. Apparently this is caused by the weakest part of the transmission - the E drum clutch. Not sure if it's related.

If you max speed you should not reduce torque reduction it's actually faster to have slower shift with less torque reduction and keeps car settled better. If thinking at limit of trans you should increase torque reduction especially if you want the fastest shift . If you go through the forums you will see me and panzer went into this with rbtuning and he explained how the slower shift was faster and had less torque reduction and that's why sport was faster than m mode before that part of the customization module was available.

I am trying to save the trans so I have torque reduction maxed at +20 (3 to 4). What would you recommend for the 3 to 4 shift time in M mode? It's currently at +19 for M mode. Adaption values are in line except the E clutch is 93ms.

Can anyone make any recommendations on what changes to make on the custom settings based on my current adaptation values ?
