Yea I was looking at tomioka turbos that is B.S they dont reveal that at all. And most of the time your mechanic or tuner might not even mention it after installing them. So in most of these turbo companies warranty stipulations you cant report online the turbo failures? I didnt know MMP have stage or stage 2... on their website all I see is stage 3 and 1k. The stage 3 has been doing pretty well but few results on the 1k turbos though. Here in 3 to five months I will make my decision on my twin turbo upgrade. But as of now... I'm totally everywhere lol. Leaning more towards MMP 1K or stage 3. Hell even frakenturbo f21bi with their metal outlets for 1500 WITH A 2 YEAR WARRANTY. Cant beat that plus I will send my stock twins to be upgraded by K-POP shop who deals with high quality parts and basically they are connected with Borg Warner. And might I add... WHY ISN'T A A UPGRADE BORG WARNER TWIN KIT!? I also have a John cooper works on stage 3 with upgraded Borg Warner. Borg Warner are standard on John cooper works. My opinion is BORG WARNER TURBOS ARE THE BEST

sorry, I meant stage 3..(which is really a stage 2 because they are created from stock housings unlike their stage 3 1k turbo that are new housings casted). How many reviews detailed or long term have you seen of the 1k turbos? ZERO...so I won't be touching those with a ten foot pole. The ironic thing is, when they stay silent as if there is nothing wrong then suddenly out of nowhere, they sell a revised gen 2 version...with 'better xyz'... you can't trust them because they never showed their progress and solving of problems over the years to warrant a gen 2... you just have to take their word for it. And risk reinstallation of a replacement from a fail turbo of theirs? No thanks.

So your saying... stay away from MMP stage 3 aka stage 2 hybrid upgrade as well as their 1k? How you feel about FRANKENTURBO F21BI? I've seen a lot of videos on IG of ppl using them and beating others with PURE VTT ETC. But the price makes me nervous.

MMP is out of the running as they don't even reply to my emails about information about their turbos and there is literally almost zero reviews anywhere. So no thanks. If you make a good product, you let users do the talking...if you don't have a good product, you censor them with threats to keep quiet. Weaponizing warranties etc... So I don't have time to play games. Prove your product is good... we have the internet...literally the planet full of people...and no reviews of their products? Good luck with that.

Frankenturbo....I don't hear good things and no way to verify their claims. No price advantage...

Right now, the expensive Pure old school hybrids seem most reviewed and proven...I would even shy away from Pure Cast turbos because there are no reviews at all.

A friend local to me went through two sets of the F21 bi. Both blew. Smoking like a vape both times after only a few thousand miles. Do you really want to save some money, only to have go through the pain of having you car down, and paying to have a set of turbos replaced/or painfully doing it yourself flat-backing MULTIPLE TIMES?

I was looking at the pure600... but very few reviews. Pure stage 2 hybrids are to popular for me. That's why I'm thinking about VTT stage 2+ instead. I ordered MMP chargepipe and bov combo... but before it was shipped I found the bov is a tial Chinese knockoff. WHAT HELL!? NOPE! Refund everything and within 4 days Mauricio call me and spoke to me and tried to at least still sell the chargepipe. At that point I was turn off. Why use a Chinese knock off? QUALITY IS KING! But he was respectful.

You know what's weird about the Pure Cast turbos? They're cast turbos and they don't make much more than old ones at all... all the new cast turbos advertise gobs more power than their old models. So I'm hesitant.

And that's from someone not running pure but I would buy rb vtt or pure any day . New revisions are necessary cause their is always room for improvement or cost savings. Failure and fixing defects is not a good sign but how many revisions do our turbos and hpfp have from the factory or our injectors for that matter.

Honestly that's a good sign cause stock motors have limitation in the head and cams that once you go past it takes alot for a little more. I think realistic ratings is great I get what your saying but cast housings is more about area under curve and power with less psi afaik
You can always shove giant wheel and clip a turbine force peak numbers and it will drive like garbage.

Do you have any logs? My single turbo doesn't make 32psi on 40% duty cycle.
40 percent duty cycle is not a measurement of anything. To much variance between cars .I could take a stock turbo car and adjust wastegates and have it read 70 percent meanwhile their clamped. Shaft speed or maybe temps can give better idea of headroom

I'm aware, but he's implying it's only taking his out of the box cast turbos, 40% duty cycle to make 32psi of boost.

Is he reading base duty cycle or bank 1 or after paid etc base 35 on my car is around 72 percent I get what your saying but I'm saying I bet it's not 40 percent open and out of box they all vary a little to

I have to pull one. but I can surely tell you from my experience (I Own TNT Racewerks) that the new Cast require less duty cycle then stg2 hi-flow. I have Dyno Pulls of it hitting 66x rwhp & holding till redline.

They should def perform better but honestly Alex owning shop doesnt negate misinformation you should be held to hire standard where saying things like 40 percent is not acceptable when influencing peoples money. Obviously the same chra in a cast solution should perform better but these are incremental improvements. Wastegate position can tell you when maxed out but cannot tell you headroom. Their are points out off the compressors efficiency island where more psi can lose power. I personally applaud pure for their naming

when I was stating 40% duty cycle was to give some information out in by busy schedule. I've compared these turbos to the ebay ones. And I will say there is defiantly a big difference . I applaud Pure because from my personal opinion these are best I've Installed & dynoed. I've installed vtt,rb,pure stg2,ebay, oem.

but hey I just wanted to chime in to give my quick review how these perform.

You got the Pure 600s, right? 700 cast should be available soon. You should get those and test them.
