I just had a tiny thought which is not uncommon for me :) I have PI and I do not like not knowing if it is spraying. I know I can log and look at my fuel trims but I want to know the second I start spraying.
Can I intercept the signal to the injector and display it on a gauge? If I can do that can I set the parameters? If it is a PWM I think I could but measuring might be difficult.

If I can intercept the signal would that hurt the signal going to the injectors?

If this all sounds stupid, let me know, I can deal. :tearsofjoy:

It should be simple enough. Have your hobbs switch turn on an LED, for instance. It sounds like you just want a visual indicator of some sort.

One of the reasons I went with aquamist for meth was their built in gauge:

I too like to know when I am injecting, or not.

Yep, that is all I am looking for a light to indicate or if I could, see volts, and know what range I was spraying in.
I was considering having the Hobbs tell me, but if I can get info from the injector that would be even better. Will be considering this over the next 4-6 months of snow.

What PI controller are you using? If it’s an AIC2, it has a built in configurable output that you probably could use to turn on/off an LED. I’m unfamiliar with the options that other controllers have, but they might have something similar.

Sounds good.

I am using an AIC as well. And while it’s obvious when it’s on because my car would misfire if it wasn't, it would be nice to see an LED light turn on when it’s activated. So hopefully I can help you get this going somehow.

I even have a hole in my interior panel from the LED light when I had the AEM meth kit.

that feature was nice because the LED light would progressively get brighter as you went from min to max spray. Not sure if that’s possible with the AIC but I’ll take a simple on and off as well.
