VTT ultimate E8/9X ultimate rear brake conversion kit

VTT is happy to announce its new rear brake conversion kits for the E8X/E9X platforms. We take what already exists on the market, and make it much more complete, and much more performance-oriented while keeping the clearance for those 15” wheels. This kit replaces your rear brake rotors and calipers to fit 15" wheels. It includes lightweight Wilwood calipers to go from the single-piston factory caliper to race-inspired 4 Piston calipers. While dropping up to a whopping 20 LBS of unsprung weight off the back of your vehicle!

The kit consists of:

· 2 Rotors (Plain or Cross drilled) Plain are Centric 125 Series, and Cross Drilled are Genuine Stop-Tech rotors

· 2 Wilwood 4 Piston Calipers

· 1 set of high-performance Wilwood street pads. (option to remove the pads, and get your own compound pads)

· All hardware required for the swap, including brackets. bolts, and adapter fittings

· Stainless Steel upgraded rear brakes lines as an option

These kits will bolt directly on to the chassis specified, BUT many different 15” wheels in many different offsets exist, we cannot guarantee this will clear your wheel/tire combo without some clearance. We can 100% say they clear Weld RTS 15x10 as this is what we tested on.

Nice to see someone stupid proof this in a ready to go kit. Maybe some measurements would be useful so people could compare it to their wheels?

Good deal honestly, if this was for a GTR it would be $2-3k lol

I like using the Wilwood calipers too, good choice.

@Chris@VargasTurboTech any plans for a July 4th sale? I'm going to order for sure, but would't be too happy if I paid full price today and there was a discount code provided for tomorrow!

Also, any idea what offset / backspacing works well on the 135i for 15 inch Weld's?

Ohh we need this for our white 135i!

Yes, this method is easier and cleaner esp for your car. No grinding or anything compared to the 15" conversion I have.
Then we can put 15" with fat tires so I won't spin off the track this time

Awesome! Does this have any issues with the parking brake shoe on the 135i? I don't have firsthand experience with this, but I've read about having to modify or deal with the shoe hanging out when researching 15" brake conversions.

Our experience was these issues were due to very low-quality cost rotors being sold with some kits. These are genuine stop-tech rotors, and should have no issues fittings E8X, and E9X

E89 runs an electromechanical rear brake. It is a completely different animal.

Same thought. We need to get that car setup so I can have some fun with it. Hate to have something I spent $100k on over the years sitting in the corner of the office lol.
