I think Dimitri's question is a good question ... what's different about the 1M fuel rail?

Filippo

The filter is in the high pressure pump not in the fuel rail. I am curious the difference between the two rails as well.

After my conversion experience between the Z4 and the 740i the different part numbers represents a hardware variant. So lets say if I asked the question of context in reference to another part for example the Boost solenoid. The F01 and E71 with the N54 have a different part number for the boost solenoid. And this is why:

If I am understanding you correctly yes the 135i and 1M rail is the same rail cause they have the same part number. the question is about the rail for the base N54 cars ie the 3 series, E89, F01 and E71 that have a different part number for the rail.

Is there any real world performance difference?

Just make sure you use a little lube on them like wd40 or similar when you put them on flex sensor, just makes it easier and protects the oring in the fitting from getting damaged

No force needed to put them on once you lube them up it should just slip straight in

Sometimes they it can be a little tight to get them on

Is there a replacement oring size in case it is damaged, or is this just a buy new sensor situation?

Also for extra insurance I used loctite 222 on the threaded cap. I can't remember where I read it but Russell says it is optional. Just be sure to clean the threads well with alcohol or use primer.

Excellent. I only have the high strength stuff, so I'll need another bottle.

Standard size orings should be easy to get from any auto parts store

It sits inside the fitting and can be easily taken out with a pick or needle
