About damn time ..... now someone should get the ball rolling on adding a MAF ;)

I can already do this. It's a horrible idea as then you are no longer able to scale the TMap (airflow) to get past the DME 2599hPa hard limit (maxed hex value).

And everyone's bov's would break, we couldn't have that.

I was told my motor should be finished by the 17th or so. Then shipped back to Tampa, installed, broke in then log and tune. So I'd say first week in March for some results

Nice! Did you hear anything about schrick's results? I heard they tested it on a vac stage 3 head

If I missed it, what kind of timelines are we looking at before we see some independent(or any) results?
Once my car is out of the body shop (promised by the 20th) the head will come off and the new one put on. Motiv is build the head for me and going with a ferrea valvetrain and 1mm OS valves along with their new CNC porting. They're hoping to have the head to me in a couple weeks. So hopefully March I'll have results.

Are you still on the 6466 or did you move up to the 6870?

It's terrible. Shoot Coyote cams cost the same and they have 4 cams lol. A good price would be $800-1000 this is just being greedy. Either way I look forward to the results on a ported head.

VAC being greedy? Color me surprised! I was pretty pissed when I bought my N54 main and rod bearings, and saw the prices for the same stuff but for older BMW motors. Don't know how they justify it, a bearing isn't exactly rocket science.

Plus they sent me the wrong main bearing sizes causing about a week and a half's delay in the engine building process. Maybe they're good for older BMWs but every time I've dealt with VAC they've been a headache.

So, sounds like @Joe got his car running with the high lift cams which is good news considering VTT had some issues on their installation. Hopefully his car stays running and we can get some results. Here are a few videos posted on FB:

Sounds like its throwing alot of codes in the last vid. Wonder how its running.

Well it is a brand new motor as well if I remember. Closed deck build with all the bells and whistles. You sure that isn't just the seat belt chime?
