Good to know.. If how ask me 3/8 is as close as I'd wanna be with a high power motor lol

If you could can you post up some pics.. Kinda like eye candy and underwood porn lol.. I'm sure the vendor would appreciate it too :)

Build pics are here -> https://bmw.spoolstreet.com/threads/tasman-green-e92-v2-0.1564/

I'll take real pics once I finish the bay.

Also what injectors are you using? I'd assume not an Ls3 type?

Oh wow I gotta sat that's a special kinda sexy!! So your using the dwisel intake duct? Did you see any noticeable improvement in iat? I played around with one for the day and I'd have to say it was not confirmed lol

Thanks man. Duct was more just to direct fresh air toward that side of motor (filter is buried between turbo & water pump). I'm going to move the filter up in the area where the vac canisters were when I pull it back apart to look for a small exhaust leak.

In theory it should help, but may not be "noticeable".

That's kinda how I felt when I tested it out.. Its gotta help out but I wanted able to measure the improvement and I have hot side inlets.

And how do you guys tolerate my typos!! I'm horrid!!!

I used fast ls7 injectors, i had to get an extra set up upper o-rings from a z06, because stock ls7 injectors have different sized upper and lower o-rings. I've driven about 1500 miles on 27psi with no gasket issues as of now.

Nice good to know!
What size did you get?
Where did you source them?
What did you pay? If you don't mind...

I got 65lbs./hr., i got them at cost from my work but summitracing sells them for $280

Great good to know! I think I might go with the 65s as well because I plan on running meth through them not E85. The plan is E40 in the tank and then the sec injs running off a totally separate meth system.. In the same way you need more E85 than gas to make power you need even more methanol than e85. Its a little unorthodox but I'm gonna try and make it work.. I know fuel-it is doing it

Hey Doug, since you're having luck with this manifold. Thought I would ask. Are you using the gaskets supplied?

Payam -- sorry for the lengthy delay in answering your question. I'm not in the forums much. But yes, I used the supplied gaskets with a bit of silicone grease to make them stay put while muscling the manifold into position on the cylinder head.

The "compact" body and extended tip of these Bosch EV14 injectors look to be a great match when dry-fitting them to the manifold on the bench. The tip of the injectors is just shy of the opening onto the runner area.

I'm aware that previous tests with this manifold have been done with conventional-tip nozzles. But after this dry-fit with the extended tips, I'd recommend this configuration.

We've started testing this manifold running E85 with a SplitSec AIC1-V6 controlling the injectors. They are supplied 5.5bar of fuel pressure by an inline Deatschwerks fuel pump. Deducting for ~1.5bar of boost, the net fuel rail pressure is 4bar, at which pressure these injectors flow tested 344cc/min. Some logs from the SplitSec controller:

Even at only 40% of available on-time duty, the DME's fuel trims are pulling -- not adding --fuel. These injectors are an excellent pairing for the manifold.

Aren't the extended tip for the old style manifold and Ls3 for the new style?

Anyone?

So tempting to pull the trigger right now
@Sharp

Could you give us/me a run down on what version we're getting ect.. Did these have any special fitment needs?

One other question that I feel like I never found out..

What are the runner length and plenum volume compared to stock?

These will be the latest versions for the shorty ls3 injectors. Also comes with spacers to run taller Ls1 style.

I don't have a stock unit here to compare, but maybe someone who has them both laying around could chime in.

Gaskets are included.

I don't have extra gasket sets at the moment. I can try to order extras, but could be 3 to 4 weeks before there in my hands

I say skip the gaskets and run one of the multiple "phenolic" spacers that have popped up recently. Aluminum is a fantastic conductor of heat, and a spacer will prevent your manifold from becoming a big heat sink for the cylinder head.
