Background. E92 awd n54 owner for over 5 years 166k km daliy and winter monster vtt gc1.0 meth port induction and just about everything you can think of done at home the cheap way. Recently dynoed 546@4200 on a mustang dyno then stock clutch slipped.

The wife very low milage (35k km) f15 n55 EWG is starting to fail. And i would like your advices.

-slight knock from bottom end audible at around 2500 rpm while listening from the front right fender. No its not direct injection noise.
- serviced the 7000 km old engine oil and found a small amount of shiny metal bits. No brass or white metal.
- bought in november at 33 000k. With 3 year CPO Dealer had only changed oil once at 20 000. Verbally went through service history (no major.. alignement tie rod and wobbky brakes.)
told me he would provide service history paperwork at vehicle delivery ( never did)

Should i flash it all back to stock put back oem dp and send the wife for them to have a look ? Best to swap oil and filter to OEM first ?

-No knock recording evidence on MHD.
-No cel or had any issues whatsoever.
-New coils and plugs.
-Pcv seems to work. Lots of vacuum under oil cap but no seal whistle.
If cap is open very loud irregular metalic clunk from the exhaust camshaft /vanos assembly. Goes away when vacuum is restored.
-Catted DP

Oil and filter seems clean appart the shiny bits attached.

Will take pictures tomorrow i can see some wear on the underside of timing chain , slight marking on timing gear. I have pulled the vanos solenoids out to clean and swap. look like it havesome strange marks On she solenoid body. Will go in with camera and get some close up pictures of the solenoids.

Return everything to stock and take it in.
