Yes and no....several tuners now supporting (and pushing forward) the M57/N57 platform. Most have hit a limit of 500 whp and 700 wtq because of cam profile and back pressure issues.

The M57 is about to make a HUGE evolutionary step forward, similar to when the first ST was made for the N54. My car will be north of 650 whp and over 750 wtq as I am solving the above issues, and adding a custom EFR LP turbo mated to my HP hybrid.

I have an M57, N57 section but I am waiting for some posts to put in there first so its not empty. If you make some posts in BMW general on the diesel engines, once a few are collected I'll open it up so you have a home here :)

I kinda want a diesel too. Add it to the list of 15,000 cars I want to own. lol
There are plenty of examples of these cars pulling low 12's in the quarter with a handful of basic mods. The N57 market is well-underserved, and I'm sure VTT needs a lunch taxi for the boys ... I think a '14 X5 35d would do the trick ... and then once you have it ... you can't leave it alone ... you start playing with it ... and then we have some go-fast products for the rest of us :sunglasses::smilingimp::smilingimp:

No I want a diesel. Not for the race track but for a daily.

Great MPG, tons of power everywhere, durability and reliability, and they smell good. Like, really good.

They do smell way better than gasoline.

Diesels reek. Now I know y'all are nuts. I grew up on a farm, we just ran the red diesel in all our trucks, and that stunk even more. I mean, no we didn't. We only put off-road diesel in the tractors.

I love my diesel truck it’s great, it’s pretty quick also and for some reason girls like it more than a 335i. But diesel exhaust is very carcinogenic as mentioned above. The red diesel only has a dye in it I believe that’s it, but maybe that different for different states

Now days, yeah I think so. But not back when I lived at home, it was called high sulfur diesel.
