Its only the first extra 200hp that only costs a couple of thousand.
Then it goes up to thousands for every bit of hp.
This is the thinking that kills me sometimes on this platform. We're spoiled with an engine that was underrated from the factory, overbuilt for what the goal was, and tuned a very specific way that left a lot of potential power on the table. Luckily that means with ~$300 in bolt ons and $150 for MHD OTS tunes you get an extra 200bhp. But people dont realize after that, it costs money like any other high performance build if this is their first high HP or tuner car. They think everything should be as easy as the first bits so they buy used or low quality parts, dont keep up with the sometimes pricey BMW maintenance, and then whine about unreliable or "N54 is not THAT good of an engine, look at the 2jz" not realizing the old modder/tuner adage "you have to pay to play" is very real.

I'm almost afraid of the inevitable complaints coming from people with rattle-can 180k mile stock turbos who are going to order a Helix as their first >400 purchase. When they can't hit 750whp on full e85 and their LPFP fails because they dont do supporting mods, just read "supports up to x HP" and think that's all that's needed theres going to be even more wah-wah'ing even with the tables being public and the product widely available.

I'd call this "released" hardware. Still no tables.

The limit of 500whp on full e85 without the new tables is enough for a part of the clientele.
No one was paying $850 for 500whp.

Lack of the tables to other tuners or answers about if they will be publicly released held me back from preorder. I’m sure ken is a great tuner from his track record but im very happy with twisted tuning and if it means going PI to keep my tuner I’d be happy to do so.

I dont think itll boil down to that, but even if it did - that would just mean maybe this product isnt for you. This product is for people who want to stay DI only and not fuck around with a 3/4-assed PI system. If you just want extra fueling as fast as possible, head to BMP's website especially if you're okay with PI, since most of the typical issues with it on our platform have been resolved by now especially with @jyamona allowing the ability to cut injection and spark at the same time.

Most of us running the Helix made up our mind some time ago that we wanted to stay DI. I found out the shotgun setup wouldnt work for me the same day that spool replied to me about beta testing and I was happy to oblige with the requirements to meet my Ultimate end goal for the car. Yes working with my previous tuner was fine, but I'm more than happy I jumped ship both from a Helix standpoint as well as having a better tune now and being that much closer to having my car perform how I want and meet the goals I want. Just like I would never buy the BMS intake manifold + AIC bundle because it's only useful for adding PI. If you arent set on DI (especially through an overdriven pump that requires special tuning) theres other options out there thatd be better for you than demanding tables be released on *your* schedule.

Did you know that the tables weren't public when you ordered the OD? My guess is yes, so that's on you not Spool. But just FYI, every secondary high pressure fueling solution will require further "special" tuning, so what have you really lost? My guess is not much aside from maybe some time spent flashing, since the Helix is still much cheaper than a shotgun and wayyy cheaper than a proper PI setup.

I'm still quite optimistic that tables will be out, but I wouldn't be blaming the people buying it. From the helix page:

Tune changes are required to use the Helix system to its full potential. The changes are available with all major tuners and Spool performance will provide the necessary calibration changes needed for the same upon request.

That doesn't say "will be available," it says are available.

I feel that anyone who purchased from the retail pre-order(or now) would absolutely be under the impression the tables will be available, because it says exactly this. I just felt it was a bit premature for the pitch forks. Lets not forget there are countless members who have bought into the various fueling upgrades along the way (and spent their own money in the name of development of an upgrade) which illustrated the demand for the solutions you so neatly have available to you today. So when you think about it some of us have been waiting a decade for this.

I spoke to all parties involved in the tables and nobody has objected to releasing it although one party was under the impression it was supposed to be a 'check box' in MHD, another party thought it would be on the github repo and another party only stands to benefit by them being released and clearly wants them out.

If this is going to be an MHD check box sort of deal, I'm not sure what to expect because Jake is already neck deep in the new apps and I can't imagine much time would be available to update the old ones.

So if no one is objecting to having the tables go public, why hasn't it been loaded in the github xdfs? Wouldn't that be the easiest possible option and make 99% of people in this thread happy?

Anyone can make a pull request to the repo, so even if martial or jake don't have time to merge it in any time soon, that would be a great way to get the info out.

Sounds like anyone being respectful and that bought product and agrees to not lost info out their will be provided o request. So if you bought it email them ask for it they will prob help you out and request professional courtesy that it isnt leaked until they do . I would think maybe they want smash some records for di only on single pump before giving up their trump card.

I'm guessing wedge were the checkbox, mhd were the repo (since jake has said that he doesn't believe it's suited to a simple toggle), and spool just wants them out.

Has anyone installed it without tuning at all? I'm assuming flow wouldn't be anywhere near what's advertised, but curious if it would be detrimental at all.

Enquiring minds ... any updates on hardware solutions? And dare I ask, any word on when the tables are getting released?

Thanks! Filippo

Tyler, I think this is where you might have actually been heading with that ...
