How would one improve HPFP seal longevity when running on E85?

Is there anything that can be done like running E85 fuel treatment or is it a wear item?
One way to eliminate this would be to remove the seal and block off the limp home mode pathway. It’s is a difficult process given the placement of the seal and you’d also have the disadvantage of being stuck on the road in case of an hpfp or entering valve failure.

The "Concerns on HPFP Longevity" part is great to figure out why the pumps fail in stock condition but it does not really tank about the effect of overdriving the pump a couple of times. There is no other way then that this has to add extra wear to the pump right?

Also; Dang... 850 bucks guys? port injection still a very good option with extra benefits. Specially with meth and in areas without ethanol at the gas stations.
We have tried our best to keep costs low on the project. This is the best pricing we could make work considering the low volumes at the moment and the fact that precision assembly requirement, helical cut gears, German bearings etc drive up cost. It’s a little more involved than machining a PI plate.

PI definitely still has its place in certain scenarios like what you mentioned and also when going for high horsepower builds. A good PI+ DI solution is always best. With the helix, you can run smaller injectors when running a PI system for high horsepower builds and helps manage trims better.
Stand alone helix let’s you run 6-700 whp on any fuel without the additional complexity in installation and tuning a PI system. Additionally a proper sequential firing PI controller needs to be a priority when doing a PI system instead of the batch firing AIC ones in our opinion.

Have you blocked off the "limp home mode pathway"?So if hpfp fails with the helix installed would you be still be able to drive in limp mode?

With the limp home mode valve, if the hpfp fails you would be able to drive the car. Without it you won’t. We have drilled into it and blocked it off for testing by pressing in polymer bushings but it’s impractical since you have to drill into the pump and also weld it back.

Got it.

I don't think the price is too bad, but I am not sure I want to install this without installing a NEW HPFP as well. Now the cost gets a little high but still within reason.

Just for my curiosity how much whp (approximately) can i expect with my single turbo setup with this hpfp on 91 octane?

The helix can help flow 750whp worth of flow on gasoline but it really depends on your turbo if you can get there without running into fuel quality issues

Im running a BW S362 and highest octane here is 94 but it is pretty rare so i'll just stick with 91.. less head ache whenever i go on road trips. Thanks for your answer btw.

Is this a direct bolt-on? Is there anything else needed besides the overdrive unit, filter, and a modification to the tune?

This is not a pump, it's a set of gears that bolt up between the engine and your existing hpfp.

If your hpfp is getting up there on miles, it'd be a good time to replace it, since you are doing all of the labor necessary to replace it anyway.

You are correct, sorry, I misspoke. But, is the underdrive unit, filter, and a modified tune all that is needed?

At what hp level is this needed for 93. I have hydras and am hitting 24 lb right now and am wondering if maybe I am at limit or if it just is my hpfp dying again . I only have about 25k miles on it but idk.

with this unit is there any chance to run 6466 25-26psi at only 93octane ? FMIC is the biggest
