Single turbo 335is
I am one of the very first to run a 4x beta. I run it on my big single 335is dct car. I made the original install video and also the pic they use on site is mine. I can assure amazing results and customer service. Here is a pic of my build that constantly pushes 3600+PSI of rail pressure. If interested in my build feel free to follow. But please don’t be afraid to buy a overdrive.

you do not understand a little )) It was BEFORE Helix with me . Dismantled the engine and found one bolt ripped from the oilpump . I mean, it’s possible that the pump bolts were not broken because of Helix.

Any updates here? Heard from various tuners that the Helix is causing chain tensioner issues and should be avoided as a fueling solution.

Mind specifying which tuners? Any pictures? The tensioner isn't a common fail point at all, and they're a very simple design. Hearing about issues is a bit different than seeing the actual proof.

I think we we should not worry . One case is not an indicator .... Yesterday I inspected the pump - everything was ideal. The reasone wase crash of silicon outlets from RB ))

That is awesome.

It has to work the other way too though. One or a few cases with zero issues doesn’t mean we are in the clear either.

We all know that long term results are what counts here. I think one way to skin the cat is by performing a blackstone analysis now, and then compare them to 5k, 10k backstone tests.
Just to monitor any abnormal rises in metals commonly found in timing chains and correlating hardware.

I'm getting a fair number of PMs here and other places, with people asking about how the Helix solutions are working out, and where things stand. It would be great if @SpoolPerformance could maybe give us a bit of an update now that some of the additional solutions are in the wild. I'd find it also valuable if Spool could address the root cause issue - given the work they've done I'm sure root cause analysis has been performed. Designing new products is never a simple exercise.

I believe there is a reasonable amount of potential sales on the sidelines, from my perspective. A common question in the set of questions I get from any one person often comes down to, "so should I just go PI?" I think it would be great for those that want to be DI only, to go down the Helix path with confidence. Any updates @SpoolPerformance directly would be great!

Thanks!

Filippo

Indeed, I’ve been sitting on the sidelines because I don’t want to install a mod that could lead to headaches / downtime since this is also my DD (although I‘ve hardly been doing any driving lately, thanks for nothing, SARS-CoV-2).
I’ve heartily been buying and installing the various mods that “just work”, such as LPFP 2 upgrade, BPM4 upgrade, intercooler, intake, charge pipe, BOV, inlets (TBD), PR Coils, stage 2 colder plugs (with copper washers!), MHD, xHP, MOTIV FlexFuel, etc. They all just work - no worries, no risks. Voila! And the car still goes. :)
So I look forward to hearing that the Helix works fine, with whatever upgrades required (brace, support, Tune, etc.) and my purchase order will be executed.
