Ad: Spool Helix HPFP overdrive Kit

Oh, I know, I've got my fcp box sitting in the corner waiting for my overdrive kit to arrive
Just curious where the idea that the part # fcp sells is inferior came from. Used to see people claiming it was less reliable but more performant than the other part #, but I've seen no solid evidence indicate there's any physical differences, just a price/stock number change. Haven't seen anyone compare the two in a controlled fashion to support claims in either direction, tbh.I think the most shocking part of this thread is that there is actually someone out their with Frankenturbos. Can't wait for the public xdf release.

On this part ... I'd really like to see @SpoolPerformance fire up a separate thread and share more on their HPFP research. Maybe some photos. I think this would be a valuable contribution to the community. In that thread, part of the discussion would also be what actually gets done in the "reman" process.

Its just a preorder. The filter is an optional item. The line that connects to the HPFP inlet hardline is referred to as the "short line" because it's only 1.5' long or so. It has quick disconnects on both ends. The filter and ethanol sensor replace this piece. I don't have it because I'm just hearing about it for the first time myself.
The short line connects to a longer plastic fuel hose which goes to the rear driver side fuel hat.
The filter replaces the shortline? Ordered mine with their ethanol analyzer, not sure how that'll work without redoing some fittings.
Just for clarity, if one has already run line for flex fuel from the LPFP to the HPFP and installed a filter (recall the long dialog we had last year), this should not be necessary. That said, if one has not done so, ~$150 is a very favorable price to address all of this.

@SpoolPerformance I know you all had a number of people doing testing. Can you provide us some specifics on what longevity testing was done? I'm wondering how much use the Helix has seen to date. I realize it hasn't been run 50k miles for 3 years ... and I"m not expecting anything ridiculous. You all have clearly done research, revision, and testing. A bit more info on longevity testing that gave you confidence to release product would probably help us. I will say I have people wondering about the reliability of the solution - not a criticism at all ... just new product, "overdrive", with a near $1k outlay.

Emailed and he said the filter should fit with the analyzer kit, so fingers crossed. Won't be ripping out my oem filter til it's all mocked up, but nice to hear.
Just chiming in with my setup to help Spool provide a “kit” option for me and others who have my setup:
1. Motiv FlexFuel Shortline and Sensor
2. OEM Stock HPFP Filter still installed, so I’ll upgrade to the external filter.

Just preordered mine this morning along with the 10 micron filter. Where would you guys suggest mounting the filter? And will I have to modify the OEM fuel lines to account for the change in pump location?
How difficult Is OEM filter removal? Do you have to remove intake manifold and charge pipe , or can you access while still installed ?
If your handy then just removing the charge pipe gives you access to inlet filter.i did it that way.wasnt hard,then a pick tool to pull out.
It is easy if you have a pick/hook tool to pull it out. In my case it had partially disintegrated so was harder to grab onto.
What do I need to disconnect fuel line, just want make sure I don't break anything by doing something stupid like twisting something I shouldn't lol. I know most likely i should see it and have no issue but figured I ring m would ask encase their is something I need to purchase.
