7800_744_673.jpg Had the car on the dyno, decided to test some high RPM pulls for fun. The motor honestly smooths out above 7250 or so, its very smooth at these revs. So far no issues with valve float etc, on a dead stock head. With a set of GC's power holds all the way up. The N54 spun to 8000 will be very potent indeed...:)

Very nice! Now I wonder if this is another one of those places the manual distinguishes itself from the auto.

  3. this is awesome, I'd love to see more high revving n54s

    Looks promising so far! :D

    That curve is pretty ridiculous.

If the stock head can do an honest 7.5k reliably that would be great. I have my doubts but so far it seems those who have pushed the limits have seen promising results. A 700WHP built auto shifting at 7.5 would move out.

Just imagine if you had some cams and 72mm turbo/Big twin GTX setup #OOOOOUUU

  7. Is this using a single mass or dual mass flywheel?

Single Mass. Dual mass are worthless over 500whp

We should have some cams shortly, and a fully ported head will be going on this motor as well. The Full Ferrea / Manley valve train with closed deck will be going into the AT car, we will be running the Stage 3 kit with twin 71mm turbos on it. As soon as Nizpro finishes up the calibration, that should be an 8K RPM motor with no issues.

Are you using the twin barrel kit to fuel this one?
