Yes and no, the top mounts have a 100% stock housing and use external piping to make the 90 turn to the inter-cooler. To replace that turbo would require you to modify any new turbo that you intended to try and make any turbo you had modified nearly impossible to sell to anyone else.

Yes, that is a good point on the replacement and resale value. Never been a fan of putting all that heat up there though, which is why I went with a bottom configuration.

The reason this is an issue to me is that I would love to try a 6062-G2 to see how that spools and runs. It is possible that I might have to move to a 6266 or 6466 if the 6062 does not perform as I hope.

My car is a dedicated DD. It is not going to see 600hp and I don't think that I need to get an 800+hp turbo and tolerate slower spool when I am not going to utilize any of the top end benefit. I need a turbo that will work great as a DD, which is the way that I use the car.

That's exactly why i went with the 6266. But now since i'm addicted to more power (I don't know why, hehe) i'm switching to the 6870 g2. But if , like you said, you're not planning on going over 600HP I can understand you're choice of the 6062.

Love my 5862. Perfect for DD and whooping ass when woken up.

I hear about people that have gotten 5862's and 6062's but I have never seen a dyno from one of them that had it tuned. They generally buy the kit then disappear.

There is a new 5862 Gen 2 lineup that sounds to be perfect for you.

Nice and flat torque curve. Did you taper up to 20psi gradually to maintain 400lb/ft or target 20psi from the start?

I enjoy seeing this. Tired of seeing people putting 950-1200hp turbos on these cars to make 650-800hp. It's just dumb in my eyes. the 5862, 6062, and 6266 are all great for this application. 5862 is a badddd little street turbo.
