Just curious what everyone is cleaning there DCI's with?
I have Burger Motorsports DCI's.
I see there is lots of options for the cleaning kits.

I second the K&N cleaning solution. I usually clean it with solution and leave it over night to dry. Just remember to plug up the intakes with a towel or something so nothing goes in while the intakes are off.

Yes defiantly make sure you put clean rags or shop towels in the intakes while your cleaning them. I clean mine a few times then let them dry fully in the sun and then oil and let the oil dry for a bit before bolting them back on.

Out of curiosity. Post filter service ,I attached a shop vac to the inside of the filter, and tested the sucking power.Without application of the oil. It was aweful. Then i reversed and blew air through it. It was extremely restrictive. It did not have enough flow to suck a ribbon off the ground, or blow it away when taped to the filter. The foam pipercross, did not have any flow issues.I currently use the SB 7” dual cone.I know its not a huge performance hinderance, but still interesting to note.

I cleaned mine with a K&N kit this summer. I agree with everyone who said it just came out okay. It did not seem to be as good as when I first got them from BMS. After reading RCboosted's test result I think I'll replace them next spring.

Mine were dirty and they definitely restricted airflow - I could easily hear the change in pitch of my ShopVac straining when trying to pull air through the dirty filter. I used the K&N cleaner twice before oiling and did a very thorough rinsing each time until the water ran clear with a low pressure hose as directed. It took quite a long time for the rinsing water to run clear. I then allowed them to dry in the sun for a few hours before oiling. And just before installing the cleaned and oiled filters I tested suction again with my ShopVac and there was no change in pitch when pulling air through. So I think my cleaning process was 100% successful.

I use the cleaning kit BMS sells. Also used K&N in the past. The one on the BMS site works better.

Lightly oiling and I mean lightly, is key.
