Because I'm now reading that OEM BMW oil is shit for increased hp N54's, I want to know what you're using and why. Also what oil change interval are you doing?

Liqui Moly p/n 2011
Liqui Moly p/n 2332
Both have great film strengths and additive packages.
Approved by bmw. I'd recommend the 2011 5w30 for colder seasons or northern regions, the 2332 5w40 is great for warmer seasons or southern regions. Motel and pentosin also have good offerings.
I own a euro shop, it's crucial to buy a quality filter that's the biggest issue that I see in regards to oil with the modern (imo crazy oc intervals) keep your oil clean and your engine will be happy!

My most recent oil change I used Rotella T6 5w-40. I've heard nothing but good things.

Thanks all. I've also updated the thread to ask how often you change your oil.

Anything walmart has on sale hahaha. 0w-40 10w-30 5w-30 10w-40. Do an oil change every other month or 2-3k miles maximum.
