What tyre pressure for slicks

What tyre pressure have you used at the drags?

I've currently got Hoosier 17 275 40. Around 600hp in a manual 335i

I have read a few drag cars running 7,8,9s second runs running low as 10psi.

I put 20psi in and was going to go down if it was still slippery.
I broke my axle but plan on going back in a few weeks.

What do you think a good starting point for this size tyre?

Are you running a true slick or a radial? You pretty much have to test and see what works, yiu want the highest pressure possible that hooks, so you're more stable on the big end and end uo with a higher et. Usually 20psi is a good starting point

Start high and drop the psi slowly after every pass till you find the happy spot
