Tualatin, or
I'm looking for new winter tires and I'm wondering what everybody else's experiences are? I'm leaning towards the BFG Blizzark. I've heard a lot of good things about them so far. Thanks in advance.

Antares Grip 20....super great price and perform very very well in New York winter.

Sidewall a little softer than some of the more expensive tires. But they are meant for turns. The softer sidewall is my only con to them.

I had gotten really used to having 0 traction with hankook rs3's. Just finally mounted up a set of 205/50/17 general altimax. They are fantastic so far and can't beat the price...

They are extremely soft though. I think that's an attribute all winter tires will have though.

I recently got 235/40/18 blizzaks on my Xi. Only had one snow storm since then and they're great, especially at braking distance.

We had a lot of ice after the storm and it's not a "holy shit, I'm going to die" feeling you get with all seasons.

Turning from a red light is still kinda sketchy, but that's to be expected.

Actually aren't terrible when it's dry either.

Discount tire will throw you a deal if you talk to them. I got all 4 mounted and balanced with the warranty for $750ish
