Driveshaft too. I thought I was going to be able to use an early 335i bolted diff for my 535i to save on some install costs, until Team MFactory explained that the input is a bolted flange on my car and splined on the 335i.
I couldn't swing a full on diff build using my welded style diff even with the Black Friday deal, but I was able to get in in a SMFW. Hopefully next year or when there's another sale I'll be in a position to get in on the LSD.
You are aware there are a few failures, correct ? Is there a specific batch that are / were bad ? Or are they all the same ? Built at same location ? Same materials, or were they changed at some point ? Breaking axles is not fun and costs money and time. Even if you replace the axles with new ones (which lifetime warranty is great), there is still labor, hardware, getting car towed, etc. and becomes very costly for the consumer.YCW Engineering Sports Axles

We have so far tested these up to around 550lbs with no issues (we don't have an upper limit on these yet). Production on these is almost complete, with shipping estimated to start in January after the holidays

Yes, we are aware, and have replaced any broken axle under warranty. We have analysed the broken components and have upgraded where necessary (not because of a faulty part, but because we recognise an area that can be improved upon). Once upgraded components are available, the old components are no longer used (be it on a new part, or as a warranty part)
So my replacements will still be prone to failure ? If so, once stronger ones are out, will these be recalled ? How far out until stronger units are available ? Not looking forward to swapping these out AGAIN or getting stranded AGAIN. Thanks for replying !
They are not prone to failure, no. We upgrade our parts (all our parts, not just axles) whenever we see an opportunity to do so; it does not mean the old part was faulty or prone to failure.
Likewise, we can't just "upgrade" existing customers parts unless their is a clear fault and/or failure. If you do experience another failure though, depending on the part, it will be upgraded to the revised part. For these axles, it was the bearing cage, which we have upgraded to a more durable steel to resist cracking

Ok, I am getting my replacements in tomorrow according to shipping and tracking. My axles are coming from ECSTUNING as that is who I originally purchased these from in Feb. 2019.
My concern(s) are
1. If this is NOT a revised part, it will fail again, just a matter of time.
2. Since they will arrive tomorrow, can I get these swapped out for a revised part with stronger cage ? Instead of waiting for it to break again ?
3. Unless this is a revised part that ECS had in their posession and I am already getting a stronger axle ???
Highly doubtful as I was told these have been sitting on the shelf for a while when I asked if they had replacements in stock.
4. Another member had same failure, axle, breaking point, etc. as mine. So at what point were these axles revised ?
What month ? What year ? I dont know when you guys realized that there was a weak point on them ???
Would suck to have to wait and see if I break these, get stranded, pay for towing, car is E93, axles wont come out unless you drop exhaust and support bars that convertibles have, time down, labor, wait an hour for tow truck, list goes on and on.
Really hope you can help me gain faith in these again. I just want to install and forget about them/ not worry about them. Car has been down a week already. Need to get it going asap, BUT would like to do so with revised parts. Lmk what you can do.

Are you Michael ? I get really confused dealing with Mfactory to be honest. I have dealt with synchrotech, any concerns get sent to Mfactory. Online, I have seen Mfactory (on another site, not sure if that is also you), tell people any issues to contact synchrotech in San Dimas. Just seems like a lot of back and forth. Synchrotech, last time I checked, did NOT stock axles. Would be so much easier to take an hour drive, speak to someone in person, look at any differences in parts, etc versus dealing with a person all the way in Hong Kong and try and verify parts off of pictures. Just my opinion. We will see how it all plays out.
