I think i'll have my friend weld a alphaloc to my TB / vrsf 335d CP aswell. Looks really good.

I got myself a double barrel kit, motiv twin disc and MMP1K (ships this week) for my 1M on black friday. Dustys alu outlets and 900 cooler incoming too.:grinning:
Was getting his oilcooler aswell but the bracket does not fit 1-series so i'm going to get a Setrab, maybe a 60 or 65 row instead of the 72row.

Waiting for Motiv FlexFuel as the last piece of the puzzle.

Sweet!! Let me make sure it holds pressure first, which is the last thing I need to do to ensure its a good solution. Someone once claimed it didn't hold pressure, I'm going to find out.

So I just bought one of these to do my pressure test. I should be able to simply undo my cone filter and stuff this in there. I probably should have just purchased the version without the stem and added it myself but I'm lazy:

So this showed up a week or so ago, I've got the rear differential as well. Hope to take a look at the harness and see what I need to do. If anyone has made the harness before I'd love to get some tips. I'm going to do a guide on it if possible.

Just got my chargepipe and intake manifold back from http://bgbpowdercoat.com/ local company here in AZ. They did a good job and made sure to be VERY specific about exactly what I did and did not want taped up. They blasted it nicely and overall I'm very pleased with the 10% gloss, the cast manifold now matches the aluminum chargepipe surface.

I got this the other day, gonna need to do a little sanding in a couple spots on the tips that curve around the lower portion of the hard top. Otherwise it seems to be a good piece. I'll do a review and install guide later.

I've been busy!

I got the front brakes and stainless lines finished, so brakes are all done. I'll take a better photo once I'm all finished working on the car and put it back down on the ground:

Converted the chargepipe to 4AN:

Here are the parts I used:

I also mocked up a Setrab 72 row trans cooler. I think its safe to say I'll never need to rely on any fan activation and will definitely be needing a thermostat.

Nearly finished the Double Shotgun install, the guide is a work in progress: https://bmw.spoolstreet.com/documents/vtt-double-shotgun-installation.53/

While I was in there, I put on the aluminum power steering pulley from ECS:

And the mickey mouse coolant flange:
20180305_234548.jpg 20180307_162815.jpg 20180307_164737.jpg

And I finally finished the wiring for the servotronic retrofit, that is documented in the servotronic thread:

Now I just need to finish the shotgun install and code the servotronic.

Awesome updates. Any advantage to the aluminum pulley?

That is one hell of a trans cooler! Massive. Will you run the stock inline I assume?

Can't wait to see more.

The pulley is just stronger and is less susceptible to cracking if it impacts the subframe, causing the belt inside front main seal issue. I'd suspect that the next weakest link may be something on the power steering pump itself breaking, but I'd rather replace the pump than the motor.

I won't be running the stock cooler inline, it has been deleted for some time and I run a manual CSF radiator, manual heater core return line(Although I removed that as well for the shotgun) and my ADE fmic is the manual variant and of course my single kit has the manual fittings.

About the stock heat exchanger, it can actually act as a transmission heater to a certain degree to get it up to temp quicker, theoretically, but it serves no other purpose beyond that. It does provide capacity, but it also takes away cooling capacity from the Setrab since you'll effectively be cooling the engine coolant with it.
