Hey guys!

Fairly new to the N54 game and I see that there are alot of experienced people here.
I am gathering parts for a ST-build. Going to run 6266 on log manifold. I live in northern Europe so I`ll have to rune 93 oct. Goal is around 500-600whp. Could lower compression.

What are the best option regarding upgrading LPFP? The car will see some drifting so I guess a bucket system is mandatory. Are there any good kits? Or can I easily put inn a Walbro 450 myself?

Also have a question about tuning. I am not planning on running E85/ port injection and do not need all fancy accessories. Is MHD and Boost Box the way to go?

Thank you!

You can swap in a walbro 450 yourself. There are DIYs online.

MHD and Boostbox and a custom tune is all you need, that is what I run. Motiv sent me a harmless base map and then we logged and tuned it from there.

On 93 octane you might need a 6466 to hit 600whp. I believe the most I have seen on 93 and a 6266 is 570ish whp. Here is 560: https://bmw.spoolstreet.com/threads/135i-docrace-6266-pump-gas-results.1828/

You should not need port injection or need to mess with the HPFP.

To get to or above 600whp on a 6266 you will need meth or race gas as I am guessing you have no E85 access. Meth will be easy and consistent. Just put 2 in the CP and boost away.

Forgot about this. Thanks for the input guys! :)

Lets say the goal is to hit 600whp and you run a single 450 lpfp. Are there limitations in fueling or problems with detonation due to high compression that hits you first? Assume 93 oct gas.

Debating if a single 450 is enough. Down the line I will be doing som head porting and lowering compression if needed.

I believe a single 450 should be enough assuming you have enough turbo to hit 600whp.

https://www.*/bmw-e-series-fi-650hp-lpfp-upgrade/ <--should be good for 650.

Thanks! No need to go overboard. Thinking about going for the PR Stage 2 LPFP. Car will see some sideways action so a true bucket system is important.

PR makes good products. You will be in good hands and yes I would go bucketed for that reason. I am not a huge fan of the mats.
