Haha. All good. I got one recently. Not totally necessary but gives you a good idea of how fast your car is and may help understand if changes to boost, tune, etc are better or worse.
Hey man, you got any info you can share on getting on the dyno as far as gear and settings? I'm not sure what I might need to disable for the traction control to not freak out or what. I found a local (read: literally a block away) shop to get on a dyno at but I don't think they're particularly bmw familiar.

Yeah pretty much what has been said. Disable traction control, do the pulls in 5th gear.

Do you have xHP? If not make sure the kick down is disabled. A lot of Dyno operators don’t know about the kick down and they will activate it causing the car to downshift.

Appreciate it!

I've got an M3 GTS flash and hardware so in sequential mode it let's me keeps it in whatever gear is selected. But I might just disable the kickdown to be safe.

Ugh guys idk what's wrong but she's having some sudden major issues. After idling the other day in a drive through I could give it almost 0 load on the way home and it kept dropping fuel pressure ridiculously.

And then I kinda figured my 13 year old ekp might be on the way out so I got the et3 ekpm3 stage 2 just to be safe and put jt in and now when I build boost ot starts popping like I'm hitting a 2 step limiter. Anybody got any ideas? I'm gonna look at maybe another new O2 sensor and then I wonder if the heat recently is like making the inlet coupling soft enough to collapse when the turbo sucks in..?

I reeaaallly hope it's not a bad head like that other guy might have had last year 😰

Also of note to the above, I have gotten 0 codes or warnings from the car at all.

Your rail pressure is tanking in the last log.

Are you running PI?

Have you tried to run WG boost?

Yeah that's what I'm seeing too and I can't figure out why yet. The lpfp and hpfp are both barely 6 months and a couple thousand miles old.

No port injection, just running 92oct. Haven't had this problem until all of a sudden. Not having slow starts or anything either.

I haven't yet, but I definitely will to see if the hpfp just isn't quite keeping up at higher boost. I'm curious what else it could be. Fuel filter/regulator assembly maybe?

I’d start with a new hpfp tbh. Anything can go wrong. If your fuel pressure is tanking, your pumps likely dying

Super lame with it being new but at least I can call about it being under warranty. Definitely not impossible for new stuff to fail.

Stock, I'm early N55 so it's a rotary. My issue came on quite suddenly, prior to this it was running very well and strong and healthy.

Well I should be getting it back together today to verify, but I'm pretty sure my problem stems from poor QC at precision raceworks infortunately. The tube from the pump outlet to the venturi popped off. It had NO clamp on it at all. AND the inlet sock was on wrong and folded up funky. I was getting half the fuel pressure I should have been for priming. The pump I ordered was their prebuilt version, not the DIY which clearly shows installing a clamp on that line, but they did not do it. It just so happened to pop off after a couple thousand miles (or less). Definitely bummed to have bought a new EKP, a new filter/regulator, and a fuel pressure sensor and gauge, but I'll be reinstalling it WITH a clamp and then getting this beast back on the road and then on the dyno!

That’s sucks but glad you got it figured out. You reach out to PR?
I haven't yet, but I'm going to send them what I found just so they know. I've also seen another post with the same issue except they had a clamp, but it slipped off. I've done the DIY version on my dad's N54 E90 and it isnt hard to get a clamp on there so idk what happened here. Of note, the prebuilt kits are all on backorder. Maybe they're already working on corrections?
I'm just excited to get my baby roaring again haha

Side note, anyone running a muffler they really like? I've got the stick center silencer and no muffler. Debaaaaating trying something calm it down a little. At least until boost bulids and the dump tube screams.
